WARNING!!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I tried to leave no stars as a rating but could not... This place has the most shocking female member of staff. We visited this place on Friday 5th July 2019 at around 1:30pm, and we were met by the most awful female waitress we have ever come across, and believe me, we have travelled. So, as we entered the establishment after a long hot morning viewing the pleasures of the magnificent Pompeii, we could clearly see a seated female member of staff, and she could quite clearly see we in her place of employment but unfortunately for her, we had the audacity to come here, to come to Bar Tabacchi for a table and dare I say it, to be fed and maybe watered..how dare we... Fellow travellers let me be honest here, there was no smile, no verbal recognition, no welcoming nod of the head, or wave of the hand, nothing but a hard, dead stare, even tho on entry we made an effort to say hello, how are you, and all in her native tongue. So anyway, we brushed this rudeness off and just sat down in the nearest seats to us and then patiently waited, and waited and waited some more on being served, or at least given/shown a menu, but no...oh no my dear friends, this very poor depiction of a waitress just stayed seated and continued to stare at us let alone approach us with said menu or anything resembling a welcome... So after 10 mins of this ignorance we eventually got up and left the place... Can I, at this conjure offer this WARNING!!!! If you are indeed the owner or co-owner of Bar Tabacchi 5 mins walk from the wonder of the world, Pompeii, then please for the love of your god, find out which waitress worked the lunchtime shift that day (as you will see above i have been very exact with my visiting date and time) and get her fired, or my friend she may repay your kindness and or weakness by helping you become bankrupt...And for crying out loud, please do not accept her weak and...
Read moreBar - Cornetteria - Tabaccheria Magma H24, near Pompeii’s entrance, is a lively 24-hour spot perfect for a coffee break while exploring the region. The espresso is bold and aromatic, a proper Italian pick-me-up, served swiftly at the bustling counter. Their cappuccino, topped with creamy foam, pairs beautifully with warm, flaky cornetti—try the pistachio spread for a rich, indulgent twist. Prices are reasonable, with a cornetto and coffee combo around €3–5, and card payments are accepted. The atmosphere is quintessentially Italian: locals chatting, scooters buzzing outside, and a cozy chaos that feels authentic. Open round-the-clock, it’s ideal for early starts or late-night cravings, offering delivery and takeout too. The staff is generally friendly, though service can feel rushed during peak hours, and some visitors note occasional lapses in cleanliness. Gluten-free options, like chocolate-filled cornetti, are a thoughtful touch. Outdoor seating adds charm, but street parking is tricky due to a no-stopping zone nearby. Despite mixed reviews on service consistency, Magma’s affordable treats and strong coffee make it a convenient stop for travelers. For a quick, tasty caffeine fix with local flair, it’s a solid choice—just don’t expect a...

No prices displayed. When went to pay, told bill was 17 euro, no paper bill presented.. .. I said ‘you got to be kidding me. I was ripped off in Naples coffee shop and I’m not paying that’ … bill then reduced miraculously to 12 euro, still no paper bill.. . I gave them 10 euro, said ‘that was enough and stop ripping off tourists’. They accepted the 10 euro. Far too common tourists being taken advantage of coffee shops where no prices are displayed. No honesty on display in Bar Magma.. they make up prices as...
