Centrally located along the main pedestrian street, Oresteria’s outdoor tables offer a beautiful view over Ponza’s harbor. Their simple, yet refined menu, was easy to navigate and the dishes were delicious. From their fresh cubes of tuna with caramelized onions to their spaghetti with bottarga and swordfish, all dishes were excellently cooked, prettily plated and very tasty.

One star deduction, because as friendly as the young service team was, they wanted to clear away our plates too quickly. More than once, we had to save our food as we had not finished eating yet. Oggi a pranzo ho avuto il piacere di scoprire una vera gemma culinaria a Ponza, in compagnia di due amici. L'esperienza è stata semplicemente deliziosa dall'inizio alla fine, e non posso che consigliarlo vivamente a chiunque si trovi sull'isola. Abbiamo iniziato il nostro percorso gastronomico con un antipasto di pesce che era un trionfo di prelibatezze locali. Ogni boccone era un'esplosione di sapori freschi e autentici, un vero e proprio omaggio alla ricchezza del mare di Ponza. A seguire, ci siamo deliziati con un bis di primi piatti davvero fantastici. Gli spaghetti con bottarga fresca erano un capolavoro di equilibrio e intensità, mentre la pasta fredda con pesce fresco era un'ode alla leggerezza e alla freschezza, perfetta per una calda giornata estiva. Ogni piatto era una chiara dimostrazione della maestria in cucina e della qualità degli ingredienti. Il tutto è stato accompagnato da un ottimo vino bianco locale, che ha esaltato ulteriormente i sapori dei piatti, rendendo l'abbinamento perfetto.
