Giving it 2 starts because the people are nice but in terms of food I really don’t understand the great reviews for this place.
Firstly it’s a “pizzeria” by its name and they don’t serve pizza for lunch on a Saturday (just a note: other places in P.to Cesareo have this same strategy too this way you’d consume and pay more for other primi / secondi dishes so instead of paying let’s say 25€-ish for two you’ll end up paying 35€+).
Then, the taste of the food is non existent. Both of our pasta dishes had no particular taste; they aren’t neither traditional nor authentic and certain ingredients aren’t even included on the menu. It’s like they put a bunch of random ingredients together and made up the menu from it…
Lastly, I get it. You need people to pay for “coperto” but if you make people pay 2€ per person .. well at least bring FRESH BREAD or I don’t know bring OLIVE OIL to the table…
There are better places in Porto Cesareo so go somewhere else if you value your money and...

Next we ordered the orecchiette e maritati al pomodoran con caciorticatte which we beautiful. While we enjoyed this lovely meal, we found a couple of the customers were allowed to have dogs inside the restaurant. One customers dog was very loud and kept on barking. The. Owner would feed the dog and every time it would bark the owner would feed it constantly. This went on for quite a while. We complained to Anna about this but she had said they were good friends sa of the owner. I just think that if you are going out for dinner, it should be enjoyed without any distractions. The food and service from Roberto was amazing but having a dog barking every minute is not my idea of a good dining...
Read moreThe worse meal in our entire holiday! The entire village of Porto Cesareo seems to only have mass tourism restaurants with absolutely no idea of what real cooking is and exaggerated prices. I have lived in 9 countries and visited over 50 countries..have been to Italy multiple times so I talk from experience. E.g. of mass tourism: grilled vegetables were served cold 2 min after ordering, the anchovies tasted like plastic and you could tell they were put on a plate for hours before...
