Lu Cannizzu — Restaurant in Porto Cesareo

Total scam!!! They "made a mistake" and brought a plate that we didn't order. (However, it was similar to one that we did order, so we couldn't tell the difference without knowing.) After we started eating it, the waiter came over and said it was a mistake and that everything was ok (meaning, they wouldn't charge us for THEIR MISTAKE). We even asked again what would happen with that, thinking that we could cancel something that we already ordered instead, but he said not to worry. Surprise, surprise, when we asked for the check it was included. 26 €!!! We tried talking to the two guys in charge (which we are sure are the owners) and they argued asking why we didn't send it back and then only tried to give us back half of its cost. FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!! We continued arguing and they understood they couldn't mess with us, giving us back the 26€ in the end....

Overpriced. I had a seafood pasta which had 6 mussels & 5 clams (all five were empty). It was a very busy evening, the staff was trying to be friendly but didn’t really have the time. What stood out - negatively- to me, was this guy (I think it’s the owner, cause he wasn’t wearing the uniform) who wasn’t doing much except for allocating tables, bossing waiters around, being in staff ways & vaping while walking around on the terrace. (You might think he’s the maitre but he didn’t notice we didn’t have any menu cards, nor did he notice we were ready to order, finished with our food… he didn’t even say goodbye when we left the place.) Unfortunately, we also had to wait a long time...

Overpriced for what they offered! I didn’t have any picture of the grated mussels, but believe me, they were absolutely dry and not fresh! The octopus was ok, the linguine with scampi was ok, we have ordered fries for the kids which half of them were undercooked, and half of them were cold (probably taken from leftovers?). I can’t blame on the service, poor guys you can see they work under pressure and stalked by the owner… overall experience not as expected, you can feel it’s more touristic offering fast peace meals, I would definitely...
