Two of us waltzed in unannounced at just before 2pm to find the place, unsurprisingly packed but for a couple of large tables marked 'reserved'. Brief conflab and a quick scoot around: "we will have a table for you in 7 minutes". Curiously specific but Impressively accurate. We were taking a bit of a chance, being skiers wanting a light lunch and to be in and out fairly quickly: after all, this place has a Michelin Plat rating and the tables around us were showing strong indicators of Big Lunches being enjoyed. We needn't have worried! The service was lightening swift without being hurried, efficient without the slightest hint of impoliteness. We ordered a couple of starters but held off ordering anything else in case they proved to be ' enough'. They weren't enough, much to our delight, as they were absolutely delicious and it gave us the opportunity to try something else. We asked if we might share a venison burger. If the coffee came any quicker, I wouldn't have had time to order it! We paid the bill and were swiftly on our way. Despite having, 'breezed through for a snack' we were given the same courtesy and respect as the prosecco swilling big hitters around the room. We will be back, that's for certain. The only question is whether we'll be stopping for...

Downstairs is a wonderful restaurant with many Michelin recognitions. It is very popular, and advisable to book especially if you want to sit outside. We arrived by chance and did not have a booking but were lucky enough to be given a table outside. The service was excellent, and very friendly. Menu was great and although more expensive than some other refuges, you can see why when the food is delivered. We enjoyed it so much we have reserved a table for tomorrow lunch. I highly recommend and will definitely look forward to...
Read moreThe idea of putting a high quality restaurant on the top of a ski slope is fantastic. This place is bringing together wonderful views (outstanding the outside terrace on the Dolomites) with well prepared dishes based on selected high quality ingredients. A short but well structured menu is offering a cpmbination of traditional and innovative options (superlative guinea fowl ravoli) with continuous changes. On the top a large and well thought wine list provides good choices of nice Italian and international bottles including a good representation of natural wines. Definitely...
