Sushi Marco Polo — Restaurant in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

I had the absolute displeasure of dining at Marco Polo, and let me tell you, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. If you’re thinking about going here, don’t. The sushi was an abomination – the rice was overcooked and practically melted in my mouth (and not in a good way), while the fish was completely devoid of any flavor. It was as if they found the blandest fish in existence and decided to serve it.

But it didn’t stop there. I made the mistake of ordering the almond chicken, and I wish I hadn't. It was nothing more than chunks of chicken, carrots, and almonds thrown together with zero flavor. There was no seasoning, no effort – just a sad, lifeless dish that left me questioning why I even bothered to eat it.

Now, the one saving grace was the waiter, who was absolutely amazing. Attentive, friendly, and clearly too good to be working in a place like this. It’s a shame the food couldn’t match the service because the poor lady deserves better.

To make matters worse, I’ve seen some reviews praising the food here. Let me just say, anyone claiming this food is good is either completely clueless about Oriental cuisine or just has the lowest possible standards. These people should be banned from ever reviewing a restaurant again, because they clearly have no idea what they’re talking about.

In short, save your money, save your taste buds, and go...

Esperienza pessima! Il cibo era davvero orrendo: pesce di scarsa qualità, sapore sgradevole e riso molle, assolutamente lontano da ciò che ci si aspetterebbe da un ristorante di sushi. La location poi è altrettanto deludente: sporca, disordinata e trasandata, sembra non venga pulita da tempo. Anche la divisa della cameriera era sporca, il che rende l'atmosfera ancora più sgradevole.

Come se non bastasse, l'attesa per i piatti è stata infinita! Abbiamo aspettato un'eternità per ricevere portate che poi si sono rivelate pessime. Non ci hanno nemmeno fornito delle tovagliette sul tavolo, costringendoci a mangiare su una superficie visibilmente sporca. Dopo aver mangiato, ho avuto un forte mal di stomaco, segno evidente della scarsa qualità e freschezza degli ingredienti. E per finire, i prezzi sono ingiustificatamente elevati per un servizio e una qualità così scadenti....

9/10 ATENCIÓN: Muy atenta y servicial la chica que nos atendió todas las veces que hemos ido.

7/10 ESPACIO: Es cierto que no es el lugar mas lindo (de lo que uno se imagina cuando va a comer comida oriental) pero tampoco es un lugar feo, es más como un local de comida rápida con sabores de restaurant.

9/10 PRECIO: Excelente relación calidad precio. Por ejemplo fideos udon con camarones (mi favorito) solo 6€ ( si bien no es grande) los precios te permiten probar otras cosas.

9/10 COMIDA: De los sushis mejores que he probado, hemos viajado y siempre que vamos a cada lugar buscamos este tipo de comidas, por lo que doy fe que es rico! La calidad de los alimentos y el sabor de los mismos, son muy buenos, el tamaño tal vez podría ser mas grande, pero sigo muy satisfecho...
