Snagged the last available seat without reservation. The staff (two ladies and a young man) were working hard but quality of service remained high. Excellent wine choices, hearty and delicious food. We wanted to try dessert but were really just too stuffed. We shared a pasta dish (I think boar or venison ragù) and then a pork knuckle that was phenomenal. A happy last minute find!

Durante le settimane di festa io e la mia ragazza ci siamo recati in questo ristorante: all'esterno non dice nulla ma una volta entrati si può godere di un ambiente tradizionale e di interesse storico. La mia impressione è stata di trovarmi in un antico monastero tirolese, l'arredamento antico e la prevalenza di legno ha contribuito a creare un ambiente caldo e accogliente. Il menú presenta le classiche pietanze del posto, arricchito da pietanze particolari come pesce e guancia di bue. Noi abbiamo ordinato l'antipasto misto e devo dire che la materia prima era ottima, sono seguiti due piatti di canederli anch'essi molto buoni. Prezzo in linea con i ristoranti limitrofi. Concludo mettendo 4 stelle perchè all'entrata si sono creati degli assembramenti a causa della fila (si poteva gestire meglio la situazione) e perchè non è facile trovare parcheggio se non facendosi una passeggiata di una decina di minuti, che di persè può risultare una piacevole camminata tra i mercatini di Brunico ma tenete conto di questo quando prenotate.

Ein Muss, wenn man in Bruneck ist! Wir waren innerhalb einer Urlaubswoche zweimal dort, wollten zum Abschluss nochmal reservieren, jedoch hatten sie da leider Ruhetag. Das Gasthaus ist im ersten Stock, so dass man nur drinnen essen kann, was aber bei dem tollen Ambiente nicht schlimm ist. Alles stilvoll-rustikal bis ins Detail, supernetter Service und natürlich das allerwichtigste: das Essen war jedes Mal ein Traum! Beim ersten Besuch gab es als Vorspeise zu zweit eine Platte mit Südtiroler Schinken und Kaminwurz mit Essiggurken, Paprika und frischem Kren. Danach Rosmarincavatelli mit Bratwurst und Burrata (mein absoluter Favorit) sowie dreierlei Nocken (Speck, Käse und Spinat) in Butter und Parmesan. Das zweite Mal hatten wir zusammen die Burrata auf Salat, Bauerngröstl und ein Hirschragout mit Speckknödel. Restlos begeistert und überzeugt, auch Preis-Leistungsverhältnis total angemessen. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

My friends and I went to this typical tirolese restaurant in Brunico, and our experience was unique! Very warm greetings as soon as we stepped in. The waiter allowed me to charge my iPhone with low battery percentage ( well I also had to show the green certificate, but I have really appreciate it). Even though the place was busy the service was very professional. The food tasty and fresh. A carefully curated wine list, With amazing local wineries. Also we really liked the wooden interior design. The price very approachable :) overall outstanding experience! Highly recommend...

A very local restaurant that focuses on South Tyrolean food. Hearty dishes and more of a homestyle, cooking and presentation approach. Would it definitely recommend the ravioli and the wine selection is particularly good at showcasing some of the regional varietals. Overall food and dinner here is not on the fancy side, but if you are someone who is interested in checking out local cuisine, this is a very good place to start. Soups were very tasty. Ox cheeks were tender and nice but the sauce was extremely salty which made the dish hard to eat. The ribs were burnt and dry. The dumplings were okay, but a bit blunt and lacked taste. Each dish was served at different time even with 30 mins delay… I waited way too long for my papardele and ate it when everyone else already finished their food. The atmosphere was cosy and the staff was nice but the place lacked good...
