Monsù — Restaurant in Ragusa

we spent a few days in Ragusa in September 2020. We tryied a few restaurants. This one is our favourite by far and for many reasons. First the food is fantastic.The recipe are well thought after. The balance of flavour is exquisite. The ingredients are fresh and everything is super tasty. On top of it guest are warmly welcomed and treated with great care. The hostess is really attentive and has a great taste in win. Her Husband, in the kitchen, is the chef that exalt our taste buds. This restaurant was a bit of mistake. First we noticed the sign of Michelin but it is not anymore on the list of Michelin restaurants. Anyway we wanted to give a try. Although the service is excellent and decoration is very modern and elegant (this is mainly why 3 stars) we have to say that concerning the food is really the biggest weakness. I think that the chef is a bit lost between sophisticated French cuisine and simple but tasteful Italian cuisine. There was missing textures and seasoning. Some dishes were even not tasty. What a gem in the heart of Ragusa Ibla! The owner, Héloïse, was so friendly and awaited everyone with a smile that instantly made you feel very welcomed. The interior is decorated in such a subtle vintage way, but definitely not lacking elegance. The food is pricier, but in my opinion it is justified as it is a fine dining experience. We ordered fish menu degustazione + 3 glasses of wine (78€ per person), and the food was so fresh, with only few ingredients yet delicious and presented in a modern way.
