Aguardiente — Restaurant in Ravenna

This bar concentrating on rum probably made the biggest impression on me in all the days I was holidaying in Marina di Ravenna. We were really lucky to get a table without a reservation. After being seated we were served water and a welcome drink and given the cocktail menus with the house rules. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate and very cosy even in outdoor area. After perusing the menu I decided to ask the waiter (who I now realise was the owner Jimmy) for recommendations. After a few questions of what style of cocktail I would like he left and came back with the best Collins I have ever had. For second round of drinks we decided to live the choice with the waiter and again he did not disappoint. Drinks were delicious as were the tapas. Everything was explained in detail what it is and how it works together in perfect English. I just can't say enough how great this place is. Jimmy the owner and pier the head bartender are a great team and absolutely outstanding good hosts. Cocktails are amazing and using extraordinary good ingredients, the rum selection is probably one of the best among Italy if not even all Europe and the ambience here makes you want to stay here all night and just enjoy yourself. Mind-blowing good service and craft here. To me probably among the best 10 bars worldwide I visited so far. Location suggestiva in riva ai pontili del circolo velico ravennate con un'atmosfera molto rilassante. Forse un po troppo buio.

Il menú è composto quasi totalmente da drink alcolici. Drink a base di rum molto particolari ma decisamente meritevoli, non scadono nel banale, ben bilanciati e gustosi. Si sente bene l'alcolico e viene sapientemente miscelato al resto per regalare esperienze sempre diverse e ricercate. Non ho fatto caso a presenza di analcolici o semplici bibite. Le pietanze proposte sono molto ricercate e particolari, decisamente fuori dal comune. Le quantità sono decisamente piccole riguardo al cibo.

I prezzi sono sopra la media, circa 9/10 euro a drink, ma per la raffinatezza e la ricercatezza delle materie prime usate sono giustificati alla grande.
