The first time I went and tried their food, I was surprised by how great it was and how I regret not knowing about this place much earlier. Chinese cuisine is by far my most favourite food so I have high standards when it comes to choosing where to dine outside as there are a lot of so/so restaurants that are not even worth my money. Every now and then, I come back to this place to eat even if I live very far from the restaurants and it’s always the best decision ever made. The food is really good, it's a bit more expensive than other Chinese restaurants but it makes out in quality; still it's not by any means more expensive than your regular Italian restaurant, so I highly recommend eating here! Why? As I said the food is really good, it's very appreciated by Chinese which means the Chinese food here it's just as good as in China! One Restaurant è un vero gioiello per gli amanti della cucina cinese autentica: nello specifico quella della regione dello Sichuan. Consigliato dalla moglie di un amico, originaria della Cina e da pochi anni in Italia, ho deciso di provarlo e ne sono rimasta entusiasta!!!!!

Per iniziare, abbiamo ordinato l’antipasto “Marito e Moglie” (夫妻肺片), un piatto tradizionale a base di fettine sottili di manzo marinato, servite con olio rosso composto da olio di peperoncino e polvere di pepe del Sichuan. La carne era tenera e il sapore piccante-balsamico offriva una piacevole esplosione di sapori al palato!!

Abbiamo proseguito con il cavolfiore saltato con manzo croccante, un piatto gustosissimo che combinava perfettamente la croccantezza delle verdure con la sapidità della carne.

Successivamente, le sfere di gamberetti alla Kung Pao, accompagnate da arachidi e funghi, si sono rivelate una delizia; probabilmente il mio piatto preferito della serata!!!

Il secondo di manzo con cardoncelli e pepe nero era altrettanto eccellente, con la carne cotta alla perfezione e i funghi che aggiungevano una nota terrosa al piatto. Per accompagnare, abbiamo scelto del tofu saltato, che si è dimostrato una scelta leggera e saporita.

Le porzioni erano abbondanti, garantendo un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Il locale è piccolo, curato e accogliente, con un design semplice e contemporaneo che richiama uno stile più nordeuropeo che cinese. Sebbene avrei apprezzato un’atmosfera più tradizionale, l’accoglienza calorosa e l’attenzione del personale hanno ampiamente compensato questa piccola mancanza. In particolare, ho avuto il piacere di conoscere uno dei soci, un giovane originario del Sichuan, che ha condiviso con noi la passione per la cucina della sua terra natale.
