Beef Bazaar — Restaurant in Rome

We went here for a beef meal in rome. On the menu it says prices per hectogram which is okay, but what we didn’t know that it was only allowed to order 400 grams or more per person with meat. This was not noticed in advance and we couldn’t find any information about it on their website or in the menu so we realised it when we already had begun to order food. The staff should have given a notice beforehand. 400grams per person was to much as we usally eat 200 grams each. Ended up ordering 400grams. When we got the food we ordered them in medium but both were undercooked and one of the steaks was almost raw! So we got a bit disapointed.The service was good in the beginning but later on it became frustrating. The staff just stood there and were more interested in talking with eachother than help the guests. And when we was going to leave we asked for the check and they never came whit it. After waiting a while we ended up going inside to pay very frustrated. When we payed the manager seemed careless. When we saw the recipt we noticed that they have given us much larger piezes of meat than 400grams each. I understand it is hard to get on point on 400grams but when one of the steaks was almost 500grams its no excuse for that. Therefor the meal ended up being more expensive...

I was looking forward to coming here. I noticed on the menu before arriving that they listed their meats in €/hg. Sure, no problem. But when I arrive, I am informed that the minimum amount that can be ordered is 4hg (400g), and this was stated nowhere on the menu! Additionally, I tried researching and translating the menu while waiting, to not much avail. A minor problem, but a problem regardless. What really made me upset was the steak I received. I ordered it medium rare, it came to the table VERY much rare, which isn’t a problem, but at the prices you charge, you should absolutely know how to cook a steak to preferred temperature, as it is not hard to do. Additionally, the steak was weighed before cooking at 0.488kg, but at least 1/3 of the steak that arrived at the table was untrimmed fat and gristle (entirely inedible). Overall I was very much disappointed, though the risotto and bread were both great, which is preventing this from being a 1 star review. I can’t say I will be going back any time soon to eat, but I would be quite happy to go down to the kitchen and teach them a few things about...

We had dinner here tonight. May be it was naive to assume that in a restaurant with that name you can eat the best beef. Unfortunately no such luck. The meat was far from good, other than that it extensively trained the facial muscles while chewing. The starter was even worse. A risotto that was clearly not freshly prepared. Fed up with the quality of both the food and the service, we asked for coffee and the bill. When the coffee finally arrived it was almost cold. The waiters never asked why we returned part of the dish, nor did they show up to take our creditcard for the payment. Finally, they have a very noisy airco/heating system, which every once in a while tortures your hearing. There is only one thing that I hate more than a pretentious restaurant and that is a pretentious restaurant that does not perform....
