I think I set my expectations too high!
Food quality is not the same but hey we’re not in the Philippines.
But what you should expect is friendly and welcoming staff, since most of them are Filipino! But that’s what I didn’t receive.
I kindly asked a woman for a paper bag to put my food away. She asked me money for it and sure I had to pay for it or else I would have thrown my order. (20cent for their small bag) It gave me the feeling I was in a supermarket.
The first fast food chain that makes you pay for paper bags! As if I really cared about going around the city with the Jollibee sign on me.
Furthermore, I was already in front of this woman with my tray and asked her if she could put my things inside the bag on her side of the counter since on my side there were all the other customers (less than a meter apart), but in a very impolite way, after taking the 20cents without issuing a receipt, she says to me “I give you the bag but YOU have to do it”. So yes, I had a lane of people on my right trying to pay at the cashier, behind me and on my left all the other people waiting for their order!
The staff is incapable of guaranteeing the one meter distance within their store.
In conclusion, since I’m a filippina and I was missing my home country I wanted to experience something similar to home even though people already told me food wasn’t good. I, at least, was looking forward to receive the Filipino treatment kind of way, the treatment we’re all used to back home.
Lastly, please invest in a system in which once your in the cashier you can add or take out things from your order that was previously made on the kiosk. I say this just because I’ve noticed that there were elder people who had to go back and forth from the cashier to the kiosk and during a pandemic ain’t the best thing.
My mother is a shareholder of this fastfood chain and please take this as a constructive feedback and...
Read moreI have been to Jollybee's all over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, Vancouver, LA, SF and so on . I have met the Chinese-Pinoy Owner on a couple occasions... he would be certainly be disappointed at this review. The Filipina's at the front counter 'pretend' not to speak Tagalog( although I heard them speak a few words prior to my arrival at the counter. Over-all the food is expensive and very low quality, staff are 'shifty'. The fries were cold and the gave me Pepsi Zero when I ordered Pepsi, also gave me wrong change ( started me 1 Euro - but sorted that out) . I went to front counter to get catchup and salt , they said in great English "Salt is 1/2 Euro Sir" . I said "call the manager now" . The manager came out (looked like a Filipina age about 30'ish) . I said "may I have some salt ?". Right away she gave it to me with a big smile . They(front end staff) tried to fleece me for 1/2 Euro , for salt ! Then they said in front of the manager "we thought you said or were asking for something else..." . I said "that was impossible, I articulate very well in English as do you " ; who would not understand "SALT " when I asked for it five times . They were trying to fleece me for 1/2 a Euro . I told them , 'my fries are cold and bring me hot fries please' . They said 'OK' but the fries never came, of course. Ate my burger, drank 1/4 of my Pepsi Zero ( I didnt order)then left . It was , Expensive , they tried to short change me on paying, they tried to charge me for salt , and the service sucked! Seating is all upstairs too . A mountain climb up to the top story . NO THANKS - NEVER AGAIN . Not a good operation. I really don't think the manager knows what is going on there ! EXPENSIVE AND POOR QUALITY SERVICE AND SHIFTY OPERATION AT THE FRONT COUNTER . Customer service is lost on them . OK they probably make 10 Euro an hour....but if they hate their job , get...
Read moreWe went there at 21:00, as we were waiting one of the servers started to turn off the ordering machines, and as we didn’t know the menu and the screens didn’t have the full menu we wanted to order in the machines, after we asked the server to order in the machine, she said yes and as we were trying to order the server was standing next to us shaking the keys to the machine and pressuring us, after we made the order and tried to pay in the machine it didn’t work after 3 times it canceled the order and said to go to the counter, at the counter after they managed to get our order in the system, they registered it again and it was completely wrong and a lot more expensive although nice the cashier was very bad at her job, after paying we waited for the order and they gave it to us in a bag when we asked to eat there, they then said after 21 we could only order take out we asked where did it say that and they said it was like that since they opened and after checking, neither the website, nor google and not even in the door it said that, so we would have to walk home and eat it cold, we left the restaurant and at the door saw if the order was wrong because we had a filling that after all of it went wrong that the order would also be, and surprise, it was wrong all of the fries were missing, we went back in and they gave us the fries very quickly but as we were very angry at the bad service we tried to make a formal complaint but they said they didn’t have any way of doing it, so we ended up talking with the manager and arguing with him and although he listened to our complaints and told us that we could eat there if we wanted to do so we just wanted to leave. The food was good but cold in the end of the situation. Do not recommend going after 20:30 as other comments report similar situations at...
