Yesterday I had a delicious meal in Cabbulo and the stuff was so nice, I was not afraid to ask for recommendations for sweets. The blond guy who was preparing the meals was unbelievable, he not just named the place, but he showed it n my Google map. I was after at least seven hours walk, when I arrived I was really exhausted so I was just hoping it was worth it. And yes it was!!! The maritozzo and the other pastry filled with some vanilla cream were absolutely delicious. The texture of the bun, the flavours of the cream, not too sweet just right, oh my god . I was carrying them back to my hotel, so I was curious how they survived public transport, but they did. I forgot to take photos, because I was so hungry when I got home after some complications, I took a photo of the empty bag to remind myself of the shop name. I just hope one day I can come back and can eat your Maritozzo again and other magical pastries. I work in an award winner busy bakery in England and I love the pastries what our bakers make, but I will dream about your pastries that's sure.

I always pass by the place at nights and most of the time it's packed with people and that got me curious taking into consideration that the place is with in walking distance from my place.. went there this morning and things were a bit slow ... had 2 cornettos and a double espresso... cornettos tasted so good and fresh but coffee was OK and didn't get to my expectations.... I wanted to take more photos after I was done with eating but was shocked that it was packed with people !!! A place worth trying

If you're in the mood of trying a Maritozzo, this is the place to go. For anyone who is not from Rome, the Maritozzo is a typical sweet white bread with a deep cut filled with whipped cream. At its best, it is only slightly sweet, slightly wet at the inside. The bread should never ever feel dry and the whipped cream must not be too sweet, it must be fresh and it should never overwhelm the bread. Don't eat maritozzo at the first bar: a stale maritozzo is terrible. They sell hundreds per night here, and there's...
