I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious, with every dish tasting as though it had been prepared with the same love and care you would expect from a home-cooked meal. Each bite carried that comforting, freshly made quality that’s hard to find these days.

We must have walked for 10 km until we found this hidden gem. We didn't have a chance to read the reviews prior. This place is exactly how it has been reviewed as authentic Italian cuisine that has a menu that changes on a chalkboard in the dining area in true Italian fashion. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff helped us find exactly what we should try. Sorry, our Italian wasn't that good and thankful their English helped. The pasta was truly fresh pasta and the meal was no tourist meal you buy in tourist areas. If you are seeking a true Italian gem and want to try good that is exactly how the locals enjoy it I can't recommend this more. The portions were large and the prices were very acceptable and not high. If you want to truly experience Rome cuisine as a couple or more please try this place you won't be disappointed...

Servizio cordiale, specialmente la sera, fatta eccezione per il proprietario/gestore che spesso interagisce con i clienti con un’indelicatezza e una spocchia tollerabili solo da un piccolo ristoratore di periferia. Ero cliente del ristorante L’Orchidea e sono stato cliente, per anni, insieme alla mia famiglia, del ristorante La Cantina di Dante, notando tuttavia, con il trascorrere degli anni, un sensibile calo nella qualità generale dei piatti serviti. A causa dell’atteggiamento scontroso e poco professionale del ristoratore ho deciso di non tornarci più. I piatti spesso sono curati e di buona qualità, ma ho trovato alcune preparazioni, specialmente alcuni primi piatti, inutilmente elaborati a scapito del rapporto tra semplicità e buon gusto che ci si aspetterebbe da un ristorante romano o da una trattoria. Non è certamente un ristorante stellato, ma poco più che una trattoria a ridosso di un mercato rionale nel quartiere popolare Centocelle. Concludo la recensione, segnalando ai lettori che, quanto riportato da altri clienti relativamente alle infelici interazioni con il ristoratore corrisponde, ahimè, a verità.

P.S. L’episodio spiacevole che mi ha portato a scrivere questa recensione risale a più di qualche mese or sono. Purtroppo il ristoratore, più o meno consapevolmente, ha rovinato un pranzo che sarebbe dovuto essere un momento di festeggiamento per un successo lavorativo. Eravamo talmente contrariati e umiliati dall’atteggiamento e dal tono (a voce alta di fronte alla clientela attonita) che ci ha riservato il ristoratore che non abbiamo ordinato nulla da bere, se non acqua e null’altro dopo i primi piatti. Avrei voluto redarguire il titolare, ma mia madre, che era presente e che ha pagato il pranzo, se così vogliamo chiamarlo, mi ha chiesto di lasciar correre, riconoscendo comunque la grande ignoranza del...
