McDonald's Ciampino aeroporto — Restaurant in Rome

This McDonald’s is not a real McDonald’s store. It has the screens to order from/ QR codes dotted around and seating area. The McDonald’s comes via delivery. It took over 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered 3x large chips and 1x ketchup and it cost €16.20! When the chips arrived it was cold and I did not get the ketchup I paid for. I asked the man who delivered it if he had any ketchup, I waited while he went to the nearby cafe. He came back with 2 sauce pots being mayonnaise and BBQ sauce - neither of which are ketchup. I said thanks but this isn’t ketchup. He told me to take it or I have to wait again for the next delivery to come. (Another half hour? Which would make no sense as the chips are already cold and I have a flight to catch) I have never seen a McDonald’s at an airport before, I do not recommend eating here. The food options are extremely limited here, the airport is very small. This is the worst McDonald’s...

Upgrading my review slightly because the francisee apologized and refunded our purchase when I reached out to their headquarters. However, if you eat here, purchase your food outside of security, not inside. There's no one to talk to if something goes wrong.

ORIGINAL REVIEW -- DO NOT TRUST THE KIOSK. Ordered euro 13.60 of food inside of security at the kiosk on May 25, 2025 at 10:55AM. Was promised that the food would be delivered in few minutes. After 20 minutes, we still had not received food and there was no one to ask for help -- Only the kiosk. Our flight was boarding soon and we couldn't wait any longer, so we left hungry even though we had paid. There's no way to contact the restaurant and McDonald's Corporate doesn't provide a way to five feedback on restaurants outside of the USA. Very disappointing. I'm not sure I'll ever trust McDonald's Kiosks after...
