It was a chill evening on the terrace, we were sitting for 7-10 min at the table and waited for someone to come up. I kept trying to look in their eyes as a sign of attention. Servers were walking around and doing their things, but it’s alright. As a person who works in horeca myself, I would never want to be rude and scream or wave or snap fingers god forbid, because I know people are busy, I’m not the only one here. I just did not understand this confusion of one waiter (like we were bothering him by our presence) and attitude towards us: “How do I know if you need a menu card or a drink if u don’t ask for it?”. Makes sense, but we’re not friends, we are your guests. So idk about you, but when I’m at work I usually look at the table and the guests. If I’m not sure, I ask them POLITELY if they were already helped by someone. I try to take care of them and make them happy. Simple. You know, I’m also getting annoyed a lot sometimes but guests should not see it, it’s not very professional. Try to be more polite and open to people, maybe next time we wont run away before ordering. For all I care it could have been a misunderstanding, but I didn’t feel like this should be a right note to start the...
Read moreStopped in at the end of a long day for beer and dinner, ordered a beer which was quite good but took around 15 minutes to be brought to the table, which is silly for an Irish style pub. I ordered a Morrison burger, the flavour of said burger wasn't terrible however it was near completely raw, chips were far too salty, and the egg that came with the burger was also near raw, and ended up spilling all over the table in the time it took for me to start eating. The plating was ludicrously small (basically nonexistent) especially for food so messy.
Service was terrible and the staff was ignorant when going in to pay and the server did nothing to help after I had eaten only one small bite, realized it was RAW, and stopped eating out of disgust. Not even 5% off. Silly.
After a few days of incredible food in Rome I have finally found myself disappointed.
Avoid avoid avoid. I absolutely do not...
Read moreI went here looking for a nice Irish Pub with good wings. I did not find it. The beer was excellently cold. The look is excellent. The atmosphere was ho hum. The music wasn't indicative of an Irish Pub. Also, of note, Saturday night... No live music. This is a dead bar that survives on the one night stand visits from tourists. The Wings were are the biggest disappointment. First of all they were breaded. What the hell?! Secondly they were only lukewarm. Thirdly the sauce was cold!!! I ordered the very hot wings and the sauce was maybe a 2 out of 5 for spiciness. There wasn't even enough so as to cover the Wings, it was only kind of squeezed on top which was quite evident because it is a very thick sauce. Luckily the beer was yummy because I didn't bother finishing the Wings. I left €14 poorer, but I at least I know better...
