Pizzeria Olio&farina — Restaurant in Rome

We were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant off the beaten tourist track in Rome and found it within a few blocks of our Airbnb! We made a reservation, but it wasn't needed as we showed up on the early side for dinner shortly after the restaurant opened at 7 pm. We were greeted warmly by name by the owner and shown to a table all ready for us in the back. Our waiter was a wonderful cheerful guy who didn't speak much English, but he didn't let that stop him from communicating with us. We pointed to things on the menu and he nodded enthusiastically or pointed to other suggestions. We espe ially appre iated the gluten free menu. Buona sera , Ieri sera ero in giro con la mia migliore amica , ci siamo messi con il telefonino a cercare un buon ristorante per mangiarci una cosa insieme e abbiamo visto questo ristorante con ottime recensioni ... E ci siamo dette perché no dai .... Siamo andate lì ci hanno dato il tavolino , il cameriere mi faceva una specie di corte faceva il simpaticone con me . Abbiamo incominciato a vedere il menù e ci siamo messi ad ordinare . Abbiamo chiesto insalata di mare in due prima ha detto di sì poi all improvviso se ne e andato per chiedere se era fresco il pesce bah che strano perché nn lo sa ci siamo chieste? E tornato ed era tutto apposto .... C era abbiamo chiesto delle salsicce e friarielli ok e l amica mia aveva ordinato del pesce con l arancia e lime per assaggiarlo ma nn c era e ci ha detto che ci faceva la frittura di pesce con solo gamberi e moscardini ... Con insalata come contorno . Allora l Insalata di mare era sciapa, nn sapeva di nulla era acquosa quando e venuto il cameriere mi ha detto come era e gli ho risposto che era sciapa e lui mi ha detto me lo poteva dire che le mettevo il sale, e le salsicce erano grasse con pezzi di grasso dentro che l ho lasciata anche nel piatto insalata era vecchia e fracica .... Il cameriere e venuto da me e mi ha detto perché nn mangia la salsiccia e gli ho risposto e grassa non la vede ? E mi ha dato ragione .... Poi mi prudeva la schiena mi ha visto e mi ha detto vuole che vengo lì e gli do una mano ? No vabbè ... Abbiamo chiesto il conto e venuto e facendo lo spiritoso quanto e secondo voi ? Era di 56,50 😡😡 nello scontrino ci ha messo 4 euro di coperto che neanche il pane ci ha portato e che e compreso .... Poi ci doveva dare il resto e ci ha detto che c'è lo devo portare ? Come se volesse anche la mancia ma neanche morto ... Da mangiare uno schifo non vi consiglio questo ristorante .... Nn ci...

We’ve been here on our last day of our Roma trip and it was a great last dinner. The staff couldn’t speak english but it was easy to make our order though. She was very friendly and helpful with everything. Than the food (pizzas) came and they were one of the best we had so far! Very good dough! Very good ingredients, very good taste! Than the chef came out and he was very nice too. He made us a suggestion for a dessert because the tiramisu we wanted is only available at the weekends and it was good too. Really a nice place to eat, lovely people, very good pizza! We highly recommend...
