This was the best food in Rome! The pizza is so delicious and the sauce is so good and the cheese is just so perfect, you can literally taste everything. The wine is delicious and enjoyable to share with anyone. The waiter is super sweet, helpful, kind, and funny. The kitchen/ oven furnace is super cool. The bathrooms are a great experience because you can wash your hands while stepping on a pedal so water comes out. The lasagna is unlike any other lasagna I have ever eaten! The prawns and calamari were amazing and very tasteful. Also, the spicy marinara sauce was hot and savory. The pasta carbonara is very good. The tiramisu dessert was very creamy and tasty. Also, this is a very local spot. If you are looking for a local restaurant and amazing food and staff, this is exactly the place to come.

Nice atmosphere, a cozy place to stay. The salami pizza was good, but the crust was very thin. The Capricciosa was decent, and the lasagna was very good-definitely recommend it. The chicken with potatoes was alright. Regarding the wine, it wasn’t listed on the menu—it would be great to add it so customers can see their options, like ordering a carafe. It was a bit pricey; in other places, I’ve paid €5 for house wine, but here it was €8 per glass (red/white), so €32 for 4 glasses of wine didn’t feel worth it. Also, there were still visible limescale marks on the glasses, probably from the dishwasher. Additionally, there was a €4 charge for "pane e derivati," which we assumed was similar to a "coperto" fee.

Chicken and chips - what could possibly go wrong? Unfortunately, everything. As shown in the attached photo, the chicken was completely burned, bordering on cremated, while the chips were undercooked and nearly raw. And let’s not forget the portion size - it was appallingly small. This establishment is a disgrace to Rome’s culinary reputation and certainly doesn’t deserve to be called a restaurant. Maybe a local bar? My advice to all visitors: avoid this place at all costs. Considering food quality and quantity, and the price - it is totally not worth it.

Wouldn't recommend anyone eating here! La fornace is a nice little Italian restaurant without any taste in the food and with bad service! It started when we were seated inside the cold restaurant, instead of outside where we would have preferred to sit, but they didn't ask for preferences. After we sat, an old waiter came and "threw" a breadbasket with bread and grissings, and handed us menus. The food we got was tasteless and not appetizing to look at, at all! After we ate about half our food we couldn't eat anymore of the bad food. When the waiter came, he didn't ask why we only ate under half our meal or offerd us anything els. He didn't care about our experience at the restaurant, or the food we got. After we sat at our table about 15 minutes without the waiter coming and offer us dessert or our check, we had to go and find him. The check we got was, of course, for both full meals AND the breadbasket. We explained to him, that we didn't ask for the basket and we didn't eat from it so we shouldn't be charged. We had seen him take old baskets from the other tables and put them on a shelf for later use. Hustler...

If I could give 0 stars for this appalling dinner I would. We were shown our table at 8 to a mostly empty restaurant and in the time it took for them to take our order we saw an Italian couple come in, eat their entire dinner and leave.

The “bread” they give you for the service charge was terrible and stale but I was so hungry waiting I had to eat some.

After finally taking our order (at the same time as two ladies who walked in 5 minutes prior) it turns out I and one of the women both got spaghetti alle vongole. First of all, not very flavorful and the clams were not fresh. Second, based on our piles of shells she got 2 to 3x the number of clams that I did.

Finally, we were ignored multiple times when we wanted to pay and generally treated as an invisible nuisance.

As we were walking out we saw another foreign couple being similar ignored.

If you are not Italian get ready to gamble on whether you get a perfectly ok dinner experience or you get to leave angry and cheated of your money.

The food is not even very good, go check out one of the other great places in the neighborhood and save yourself...

I recently discovered this charming little Italian restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner, and it's an absolute must-visit! The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere with a lovely decor that will make you feel like you've been transported to a quaint Italian village.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they really know their stuff when it comes to the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had.

And now onto the food - it was simply amazing! The menu features a wonderful selection of classic Italian dishes, each one bursting with authentic flavor. From the heavenly homemade pasta to the meat dishes, every bite was a joy.

To top it off, the desserts were simply divine. It's clear that the chef puts a lot of love and care into every dish.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience, then this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. You won't be...
