Nice interior decoration, nice service and food material is fresh. But the food is not in the same level of their atmosphere. The combination of raw fish and tempura is funny. I am not sure whether the chief has ever given a thought about why Japanese people eat them separately. If the chief still think it is a nice ideal to combine two foods, he/she might want to change the source at least. Tempura usually served with grind daikon, which helps to balance the oily texture. And for raw fish sashimi you have other methods to overcome these problem, including control the temperature, the order of eating and drinks. But the starter I had in Va.Do. the chief just combined two dishes physically and add a source (I forgot exactly contents) without any refreshment or kicking inside, the whole dish is just too oily and meaty. The pasta has more or less the same problem, the raw prawns were sweet and fresh enough, but they are just put over the pasta with fish source and lime juice (?) pasta. In the end, the tiramisu disappointed me the most, just not good. But the price was cheap enough to keep me from angry. So if you are in the area, and want to try some innovative food, you probably want to pay a visit.

Tuna fish is prepared perfectly and starters are always yummy. Fine dining level food combined with reasonable pricing. Highly recommended for anyone in that area.

La nostra recente visita presso questo locale ha rivelato una serie di aspetti degni di nota, sia positivi che, purtroppo, negativi, che meritano una disamina approfondita.

L'accoglienza iniziale si è presentata meno che ottimale. Nonostante un saluto vocale all'ingresso, le due figure presenti al bancone del bar non hanno ricambiato, offrendo un'impressione di scarsa attenzione al cliente.

L'ambiente del locale è innegabilmente gradevole e caratterizzato da una piacevole atmosfera. Tuttavia, si ravvisa la necessità di una maggiore cura dei dettagli e di interventi migliorativi. Un inconveniente significativo si è manifestato con la presenza di numerose formiche al nostro tavolo, elemento che ha oggettivamente compromesso il comfort della serata.

Sul fronte culinario, gli antipasti sono risultati complessivamente apprezzabili. Desidero tuttavia esprimere una riserva sugli involtini, che, sebbene non possa valutarli con competenza tecnica, non hanno incontrato il mio gusto e sono apparsi eseguiti in maniera non ottimale. La carbonara è stata giudicata positivamente, così come i secondi piatti e il dolce.

Il servizio in sala è apparso eccessivamente frettoloso e incalzante. La costante e visibile premura dei camerieri nel liberare il tavolo ha compromesso il piacere di un'esperienza rilassata. La possibilità di attardarsi a tavola con i commensali è un aspetto fondamentale della ristorazione di qualità; in questo caso, la cena si è conclusa con antipasto, primo, secondo e dolce in meno di un'ora, conferendo all'esperienza una dinamica più vicina a quella di una mensa che a un ristorante.

Particolare attenzione merita la proposta enologica al calice. Il vino bianco si è rivelato di qualità mediocre, mentre il vino rosso era francamente imbevibile, classificandosi come il peggiore assaggiato nell'anno in corso. Sebbene sia stata apprezzata la disponibilità del personale nel ritirarlo e non addebitarlo, ritengo che un prodotto di tale infimo livello non dovesse essere proposto alla clientela, suggerendo una probabile consapevolezza interna della sua scarsa qualità e forse una sottostima della cultura enologica media dei clienti.

Infine, la preparazione del personale di sala in materia di servizio del vino richiede un significativo miglioramento. Ho assistito con notevole disappunto all'apertura di una bottiglia di bianco eseguita con una brutalità e sciatteria inaccettabili, seguita da un riempimento dei calici quasi fino all'orlo, pratica del tutto inappropriata per il vino a meno che non sia capodanno. Questo denota una chiara lacuna nella formazione professionale specifica.

I went there with a friend and we really liked it, the food was the main thing honestly, pasta felt fresh, sauce rich but not too heavy, I even thought maybe they did it at home cause it didn’t taste like those generic ones. My friend had pizza, thin dough but soft inside, crust a bit burned in places but in a good way, that proper italian thing. Service was ok, the waiter friendly, explained specials, actually he had a blue shirt and looked like in a hurry but still he smiled and that counted.

Inside was cozy, a bit modern too, lights warm, music not too loud so we could talk. Prices not cheap, I kept thinking about it, but for the way it was served and the taste, honestly worth it. I left full and happy. Next time maybe I try meat or dessert, I saw some plates passing near me and looked very tasty, I regret I...
