I had high hopes for this bakery. Just wanted to have coffee and a sweet treat while getting some work done. The atmosphere was chaotic and very noisy with the staff all moving about quickly. It was surreal. Saw a piece of cake in a display across from the counter and chose it as my treat. So I opened the door to the display and pick up the cake that was on a small plate. Immediately a very high strung, elderly woman began berating me (in Italian) in a schizophrenic manner. It was clear that she was communicating her anger that I removed the cake from the display (which was not marked in any way).

So she summoned a young woman who spoke some English and I was able to complete my order and pay.

The cake was partially frozen and stale. I also had a Cafe Americano, which was excellent.

Overall a negative experience. Very noisy inside, and uncomfortable vibes.

They do not allow use of their WiFi.

So many bakeries here, this one...

First stop of your day should be here for the best Shakeratos, macchiatos, cappucinos (only before 12), espresso, the best cannoli's I've ever had, and pastries galore. Any iced coffee lover will instantly fall in love with their shakerato!! It is simply a hot espresso shot, sugar, and ice shaken vigorously, and then this frothy cold coffee is typically served in a martini glass. It's intense in taste, much better than an iced coffee in the states, a must try. Did you know Italians have 7-8 coffees a day? Their cannolis with coffee are perfection for your morning since Italians love sweets for breakfast, you can get the cannolis plain, with hazelnuts, chocolate chips, pistacchio (my favorite). Service was excellent, authentic place, and very very good pastries. Close to the Vatican city, perfect spot to stop before or after your tour. Don't miss out...

Io e il mio ragazzo siamo finiti qui per caso, con la voglia di fare un aperitivo dove si potesse mangiare qualcosa di più delle solite patatine e olive. Ma di certo non ci aspettavamo di mangiare così tanto! Invogliati dalla lavagnetta che suggeriva un buffet illimitato con drink a 10 euro, decidiamo di entrare.

L'offerta del buffet era davvero ampia, composta per lo più da fritti da poter comodamente scaldare nel microonde: polpette di pane, polpette di patate, melanzane fritte, melanzane panate, patate al forno, saccottini di wurstel, finger food di wurstel e patate, due tipi di pizzette rosse, pizzette bianche, paste sfoglie varie, e davvero non so quanta altra roba che a malincuore non siaml riusciti a provare perché sazi! Oltre a questo, viene comunque portato al tavolo un piatto di pasta, patatine fritte e arancini. Ho trovato tutto molto buono, e mi è dispiaciuto non riuscire a finire tutto perché odio buttare il cibo. Anche i cocktail erano buoni e particolari (io ho preso uno spritz alla pesca, il mio ragazzo alla fragola).

Note da aggiungere: la posizione del locale, proprio a piazza dei mirti, è ottima. L'atmosfera è calda e accogliente, ma ho lasciato per ultimo la gentilezza del personale perché è stata davvero la ciliegina sulla torta. Devo dire che la passione nel proprio lavoro era palpabile e non si poteva che sorridere di fronte alla loro soddisfazione: tutti sappiamo che dietro al successo ci sono impegni e sacrifici, e vedere i loro occhi pieni di gratitudine è stato un valore aggiunto.
