The Factory — Restaurant in Rome

I am a bit of a burger connaisseure - I have travelled the world and often use the opportunity to try different interpretations of burgers. The Cow Burger at the Factory probably ranks in the top 5 ever. I usually prefer a simple cheeseburger, but the creations at this joint are creative, without over the top loaded up with too much stuff. The Cow burger for example had bits of pistachio and burrata which was an unexpectedly nice combination of two of my favorite foods. The meat was generous, still slightly pink, with a bit of char without tasting overly beefy. I also happen to be a bit of a beer drinker, and the selection of Italian craft beer, on tap and in cans/bottles is plentiful. Maybe a bit on the pricey side at ~7.50 Euro per pint, but the IPA I tried was delicious. The staff was nice and attentive and the ambiance is a bit industrial with indoor and outdoor seating - there was no loud music blasting so all in all it was a joy to eat and be here. Absolutely...

Sono stato diverse volte al locale in questione, più di una volta non mi ha soddisfatto, ma c'è un limite a tutto, Ci sediamo a un tavolo, vado dentro per vedere l'elenco birre e neanche il tempo di entrare vengo placcato, non in un modo carinissimo con un "è occupato " (non uno scusate, non un mi scusi, no, un direttissimo occupato) che li per li non mi è neanche chiaro a cosa si stiano riferendo dato che in due non sono stati capaci di esprimere un concetto in più di due parole. Capisco che si riferiscono al tavolo e ci spostiamo a quello di fianco, che è praticamente la stessa cosa. Lo dico al ragazzo, che è lo stesso e lui mi dice che quello era apparecchiato (ma capendo lo spessore del personale comprendo che per lui due tovaglie e fazzoletti messi a piramide equivalgono ad aver apparecchiato). Rientro dentro per leggere le birre e il ragazzino è lì a parlare col collega in cucina, raccontando il fatto e aggiungendo che, a parer suo (ma già si capiva da prima il livello di fantasia del tizio) stava "per mettermi le mani addosso" . Gli faccio notare che sono dietro di lui e che lo sento. Classiche scuse d'arrampicata sugli specchi che non portano a niente. Prendo le mie cose e andiamo via. Avrei già dovuto lasciare una cattiva recensione poiché per due volte mi hanno consegnato un panino bruciato, ma ho lasciato perdere poiché al locale non avevo mai avuto di questi problemi, però come detto c'è un limite a tutto.
