The cornettos and coffee here were good. But the service here is not. I ordered two medium cappuccinos and two cornettos. They served me two small cappuccinos, I was confused and thought they had mistaken me for someone else. But the lady said this is yours and when I told her I thought I ordered two medium cappuccinos and my husband said yes we ordered two medium cappuccinos so those aren’t ours. The server started screaming at us about no you ordered two small cappuccinos if you want medium pay the difference for the medium. I told her it was ok if the person taking our order wrote down a small. I was confused as to why she was yelling at us. We had no attitude and explained calmly that we thought there was a mistake. To be clear I had no issue paying for the medium, I actually didn’t even say much to her to even trigger the yelling. She mostly just yelled at me so I wanted to just get out of there. I understand this is a busy café which is why I wasn’t stressed or rude to begin. I know accidents happen and sometimes orders are jotted down wrong but to scream at your customers? That’s not ok. Maybe she was having a rough morning I’m not sure but she was completely out of line for yelling at us. I didn’t speak to the management about it because again I didn’t think it was that big of a deal but thinking back on it no worker should be yelling at a customer for an order that was taken...
Read moreThe waiting and ordering system of this place is simply chaotic. Very misleading options: dine-in, take-away or self-service (means you order your drink and food and find an empty table). This wasn’t very well explained by the staff at the door as people lining up.
Probably due to the hyped popularity (high and “sponsored” Google rating), staff didn’t seem too friendly. No smile and clear annoyance when you don’t speak Italian.
I went with self-service but it was confusing where to order or pay and every staff seemed to be too busy to pay attention to customers waiting to order/pay. (Pro tip: the cashier is inside, and you need to order and pay there first.)
When my order is ready, there was no calling (no number system for the order) and I had to find them myself. I asked now that the outside tables are all taken (empty when I ordered), where else I can sit down. The lady first grunted in Italian then shuffled the panini on the plate into a brown bag and said “you can sit on the floor outside.” I ended up taking a table inside: That’s right, there are actually tons of tables inside for “self-service” orders.
The panini and cappuccino is great though.
Also I counted 3 times glasses/cups dropped to the floor during the 15min I was there.
So if you like chaos and decent...
Read moreTucked away in a cozy corner, this little café is all about fresh eats. If you're looking to dodge the crowds, hitting this spot before 8am is a smart move to beat the lines. The seats are limited. Can't believe how they managed to out tables inside. There's outdoor sitting available too.
Now, let's talk about the food – They offer Paninis and fresh pastries. And don't even get me started on the coffee – it's legit. Bonus points for offering oat milk, 'cause they're all about catering to different tastes. Oh, and the fresh orange juice? Perfect for a zesty wake-up call.
Quick in-and-out option? You bet. They're cool with takeaways, so you can snag some goodness on the go. And the way they do things is pretty chill – they give you a note with your order, then you just pop over to the cashier to settle up. Oh, and there's a restroom, too – they've got you covered. Bottom line? If you're after a café with awesome eats, this spot's got your back.
Why 4/5 stars? Well, I reserve 5 stars to places with lots of vegan options. If you're not vegan the food is a 5 star though. Best in Rome afa I know. And service is a bit chaotic as it gets busy. There are spots with water leak/ next to the restroom. And inside seats are...
