Avoid this hotel! We traveled to Rome for our honeymoon. Upon checkin, we were told there is a problem because the guests before us had a flight cancelation so they are staying longer, therefore, WE needed to be relocated to another hotel for ONE night, then we would be placed in our reserved room. This completely ruined our prearranged plans the following morning to travel outside of Rome to visit another city, requiring us to catch a train early. We explained this does not work for us but were told that was the only solution possible. WHY would the flight cancelled guests not be relocated instead, clearly they had no plans and were already packed and could be easily moved. BUT NO, we had to be inconvenienced and needed to rearrange our next day plans. The staff did not care and forced us to stay at another hotel they owned, semi-nearby.

Additionally, the bed at Rome Art hotel was horrible. More like a boxspring, then a bed. This is not good when you are walking about 10miles a day to see all the sights. The shower head was broken and the seal on the shower wall leaked water all over the bathroom.

The rooms are small.

Location is central and close to many sites, which we thouggt was a good thing, but boy were we wrong! You are engulfed in the middle of all the site seeing crowds, street hustlers and bad tasting/service restaurants.

Definitely not a 4star hotel as claimed to be. Maybe 2.5stars, at best.

I will never recommend this hotel to others, nor would I ever stay there...

BEWARE !!!! The worst hotel i have been in ever! I have stayed in 26 hotels across the world in my lifetime including 17 different countries and Rome itself 3 times before Horrendous this hotel is ... never anything like it

Day 1 , we arrive and tell us that someone has caught covid in the hotel and therfore we are legally obliged to stay in another hotel 5 minutes drive away . We didn't pay for that hotel, we paid for this one, after 5 minutes arguing with reception we got the room we paid for. Twice we caught the same hotel staff walking into our room unannounced without knocking , he wasn't a cleaner either .

Day 2.

£230 worth of our stuff got stolen from our room. Expensive creams and iPod equipment. We told hotel reception who then went on to blame us saying we "should be experienced travellers by now and put our stuff in the safe therefore it's out fault "

They were supposed to conduct an investigation but they didn't into who stole our stuff but they didn't. Safe to say I won't be staying again

Day 3 . The new receptionist denied all knowledge of the investigation and said if we want to complain we can write in on email... honestly why would we write in when she didn't offer an investigation, and there was supposed to be an investigation ongoing...

The property is shambles and seems this isn't the first time this...

Hotel Trevi Collection is the name of the group that owns several hotels in the area. Our reservations were at Rome Art Hotel however upon arrival we were told that there is a “family with a sick child” in our room so we cannot stay there. After reading other reviews it seems like they make up some sort of similar lie to other people as well. It was very sketchy. They then shuttled us to a different hotel- Hotel Trevi. Our room wasn’t even in the same building as the hotel, just in a random building with other apartments which was very loud. One of the workers showed us around our room and told us there were 2 complimentary water bottles in the fridge. When we checked out a different man asked if we drank the waters from the fridge. We told him yes but we were told they were complimentary and he proceeded to say “no nothing is complimentary you should’ve read that” which no where said this. They charged us 4 euros for 2 small water bottles which isn’t the point. Every other hotel we stayed at gave us 2 complimentary waters and we thought given the major inconvenience of changing our hotels they wouldn’t give us a hard time about 2 small plastic water bottles. They are clearly crooks just trying to take your money. The whole situation was very sketchy and...

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days, the location of the hotel is superbly situated to visit so many places, i.e. Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are no more than 10 minutes walk, also a number of eateries are so close, including stores. The hotel rooms are small but functional. Everything was adequate, the view from room 401, was lovely, showing the hustle and bustle. The aircon in the room did not seem to work, when set at 18c at night the room still seemed hot. The noise outside the hotel is noisy but acceptable since you're on a high traffic place, the noise inside the hotel can be annoying I think tge noise of the lift when it was used was noisy. The lift had a slight jerk to it when it started off on the ground floor. The staff generally were pleasant, the Italian blonde young lady who checked us in was the one who was fluent in English and she was very helpful. There is also a water fountain for filling water bottles, opposite the hotel

Is the location good? Yes. But it is at the very center of the city so it’s extremely congested. However you can walk to a lot. Is this a 4 start hotel? Absolutely not. There is a main door and a teeny tiny lobby with no amenities. Our room was in a separate building across the street of which the entrance looks extremely shabby. Broken flooring all over the place and an antique elevator that hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed. Outside our room was very dirty carpet and filthy handprints on all the doors. The rooms themselves were a moderate size but looked like an IKEA installation. One evening another company was hauling in bags of laundry lining the halls and told us the elevator was not for our use, leaving my elderly parents to haul up flights of stairs after walking all day. Another day the people in the room next to us banged on our door to say there safe had been robbed. So was this a comfortable stay? No. Stay elsewhere.

This is an okay hotel but it’s rated 4 star and I’ve stayed in plenty of 3 star hotels that are better than this. The location is good in terms of getting to places, whether it’s on foot or by bus. This hotel is located on one of the main roads where it intersects with several other roads. So opening your windows at night is unbearable due to the noise levels from the cars. Italians just love to use their vehicle horns for everything! Because I went in March it meant you’re not allowed to use the air conditioning. This is a local rule in Rome so this didn’t just affect this hotel, so the room was really warm. The staff made the room up everyday but didn’t replenish any toiletries so we had to keep asking for more toilet roll and shower gel. I would expect more from a 4 star hotel. We stayed in the same building as the reception desk. People were checking in and being sent to another building, so I can’t comment on that side.
