RiccaPizza - San Matteo — Restaurant in San Gimignano

While visiting the town we decided to grab a couple slices of pizza here. There was a decent line out of the front but it moved along fairly quickly. We had waited for a simple Marinara pizza to be made before joining the line and we were not dissappointed.

As simple as a Marinara pizza is, this was one of the most delicious pizzas I've ever eaten. Thin, crispy all the way through, and the sauce was unbelievable... Look. Im addicted to pizza and yes we did do bikepacking there so I WAS HUNGRY! After the first slice I had to go back and get another to be sure and I ate it slow! In 36 years of my life I never had a better pizza.

My experience was in 2022 October! I can’t say if things changed, but if you get the chance try it. It may just be the beat slice you’ll ever have. Its worth to gamble the couple of euros, trust me!

By far the worst pizza in Italy. This is a tourist trap. While in San Gimignano eat pretty much any where but here. Ignore the 4.4 score that clearly can not be trusted. This restaurant is operated by opportunist immigrants or ex convicts trying to take advantage of tourists and not by real artisans. Worst pizza I've had in the entire world.
