Trattoria Canapone da Pablo — Restaurant in San Miniato

The appetizer, with truffles, was OK, but not memorable.

The first course was good, but not memorable, apart for its being too abundant.

The same goes for the second course and the potato side dish.

The coffee left much to be desired.

Had I spent quite a bit less than half of what I was charged, I wouldn't complain.

The service was rough.

The waiter and I misunderatood each other theice, notwithstamding our both being Italian native speakers from this area.

The knife and the fork had to be recicled thrice: it would be OK, if they charged me less than half of what they charged.

It is the second time it happens to me in San Miniato alta, or San Miniato's city-centre, if you will, during the last 9 days. Also, it was too humid and hot inside (my weather app displays "26 Centigrades , but 27 centigrades perceived, because of the 61 percent humidity, here in San Miniato, today) so, I asked the waiter whether the air-condirioner was out of service,i.e. broken, and he placidly replied they are keeping it off on purpose, because they had opened a window, and I am still wondering what window.

Next time my tourists and I will do well to eat sandwiches in the outskirts before entering San...

Good food and nice staff. Not very cheap, it is around €15 per person (1 course + soft drink). The service could be better. Excellent food presented professionally. We tried both lunch and dinner and both were excellent. The outdoor seating was cozy with a relaxed atmosphere.
