Civico 48-steakhouse — Restaurant in Sirmione

Went to this restaurant last night with my husband and daughter. As we entered we asked the waitress if it was possible to get a table inside as we wanted to stay out of the heat. The waitress mumbled something under her breath before storming off around the back, which shocked us to start. I looked to see if there was tables which there was, they just needed pulling together and cutlery put down, so thought there would be no problem but to our surprise the waitress came back around from the back and started to bang items and pulling tables voilently as though we were really causing her an inconvenience. Both myself and my husband not to mention our daughter were totally stunned at this behaviour, needless to say we told her it was ok we wouldnt be eating here and left. I was totally shocked at this behaviour and was delighted we made the decision to leave Civic 48 in Sirmione. We went to the restaurant straight across the road where the staff were very pleasant and were only too pleased to let us sit inside. We enjoyed good food and didnt feel unwelcome as we did across the road. Civic 48 I think some of your staff may need customer service training and learn manners. The disappointing part of all this to me was I researched your restaurant and chose it from the internet, walking a good distance to get here. I rate you one star for your rude...

The hamburger was well done and dry, got 6 onions rings for 6 €(can't complain about the price but I was surprised-by the way there were frozen and average) Let's talk about the service: the waitress that was in charge of my table(blonde,The only English speaker there) . it seems and feels like she didn't like my dietary needs and felt like she ignored me. every encounter that we had, I felt like she's doing me a favor every time I try to request for a fork or water or something. I didn't feel so comfortable. although I would say the main waitress(one with the tattoos on the arm) did great and understood my dietary needs AMD I APPRECIATE IT. but even more than that later on they tried to know what's wrong and for that I will give them the credit and balance my review. but the only one that's knew English was the one that that let me feel being ignored, so in fact I was shy to share her with my concern so at some point it is also my problem. Their will to know what is wrong didnt change my experience because it happened at the end after i paid.... FINAL SCORE:...

The food was just ok, you will find better around. The restaurant is very nice inside and clean. The reason of the 2 star, is because the waitress trick use by saying our little 1 years old could eat for free and then when the bill came she charge us 5€ for some plain pasta. We usually never order for her because she always share our meal. When we ask the lady about it she said it was the service charge who was free...

I did asked the lady and her word was "free meal "and then when we did get the bill she said "free service charge". She knew what she was doing. Now those day is very easy to use google translate to help with communication. For your information where Im from giving kids pencils and special care is free....My little girl is 1 years old and doesn't eat a full plate of pasta.

We enjoy or holidays in Lake Garda and went out in many restaurants and everyone was clear, honest and had better food that what you serve.
