Great hotel.
Very helpful staff especially the guy with the white top in the reception (unsure what his name was) he was very friendly, what a legend - & the cleaners as well greeting guests in the morning.
Breakfast is great.
Nice renovated rooms & the whole building, looking fresh & new - can tell because I've seen the old images of the hotel, had a massive glow up (tho i never stayed at this hotel before, my 1st time).
The front building has a garden, where you can sit & eat your breakfast - however i sat inside because i got swarmed by wasps lol.
Good things in the room like: a lock safe, comfy beds, fast TVs.
Rooms always cleaned.
I like how there's a free hot drink machine downstairs at the lobby, however the lobby is closed @ 11pm & you need a code to get in at 11pm when the main entrance is locked for the guests @ the main building - which kinda makes sense because guests are sleeping at that time.
Downside is Wi-Fi for guests isn't working much & the fridge isn't working well.
Good location for North & Northeast Italy, you can go to Milan, Verona, Venice, Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Brescia, Treviso, South Tyrol, etc. for a day or 2 due to the hotel's proximity by train - didn't go to all because i don't have time but i've been to some of those places before.
Along with the location, the local location is great, near lots of eateries, stores, bus stops - also very peaceful & safe area - i love hearing the crickets at night which is alien to me since i never hear any crickets in the UK.
My room was 19 in the other brown/green block.
Recommended hotel if you're looking for a place to stay in or around Sirmione & Lake Garda.

Read moreWe had high expectations when booking Hotel Arya by Mauro for a 7-night stay (27/07/2025 – 03/08/2025), especially as it was for a special occasion – my girlfriend’s mum’s wedding. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
Despite booking a Premium Room with a Queen Bed, Balcony, and Garden View through Expedia, we were given a Classic Double Room instead a significant downgrade. To make matters worse, we were still charged €500 more than the cost of the room we were actually given.
This room discrepancy caused huge distress, particularly to my girlfriend who suffers from anxiety. The smaller room did not provide enough space for her to get ready for the wedding, adding unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful time. She struggled with this for the entire duration of our stay.
We tried to resolve the issue both with the hotel and through the booking platform, but were met with a complete lack of empathy and no resolution. Repeated attempts were brushed off, which only added to our frustration.
To add insult to injury, the room itself was not in good condition. There was visible mould under the window sills, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the walls were dusty, which triggered allergic reactions.
This is not the standard we expected from a hotel of this calibre. The lack of accountability, poor room conditions, and failure to provide what we paid for have left us feeling completely let down. We will not be returning and strongly advise others to be cautious when booking here.
