We had the absolute pleasure of taking a cooking class in the home of a local Sorrentine host, and it was truly the highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family, with the warmth and hospitality that make Italian culture so special.

Wow this is a must do experience when visiting Sorrento, I stumbled upon Shanti Home whilst lazing around our hotel pool, all the reviews mirrored our experience, my wife and I alone with our two friends were picked up from our hotel and dropped off again once the evening was over, we had the meat menu which was delicious and prepared fresh for us as Salvatore bought the ingredients in the same day just for us, his brother Umberto was our server so to speak, but he was more than that as he was very chatty and full of information, I honestly couldn’t find a single negative from our experience, I won’t lie I got nervous as you pay for everyone up front which I’ve never done before, but it all makes sense when you know that Salvatore goes shopping for all the ingredients depending on which menu you chose, the local wine and Prosecco was also lovely. The instructors were not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also so fun and personable—sharing techniques, stories, and lots of laughs along the way. We made delicious, authentic Italian dishes while enjoying a little Prosecco and appetizers while we went to work.
