Banana Split — Restaurant in Sorrento

Disgusting advert for Sorrento. Intent on stealing from tourists. Asked for the bill, the "landlady" went away, came back totally made up the biggest number she thought we would pay. Requested an actual till receipt which she did not seem keen to supply. Eventually a till receipt was produced for much less than she first number she tried to charge us. The receipt still didn't tally with what we had , she then reached into her pocket and produced a post it note with masses of scribble all over it and just continued to insist "this is your bill" as if the scrape of paper was some legal document ! Appreciate Italy and in particular Sorrento are expensive places to drink, however when we spend the afternoon supporting the local economy we dont expect to be served by theives. If you use this place you are endorsing this behaviour. Demand a till receipt and check it all !!! Much better and HONEST...

My son wanted to eat something just quickly as we skipped our lunch before. On the other hand I gotta admit that my all time fav beer is Guinness (anywhere even in Italy), so I convinced him to enter this Irish place and let’s make both. We ordered this bruschetta with cheese, a pint a Guinness and he asked for a Pina Colada. You’ll never know what you are miss if you don’t visit this pub, because here we got the best bruschetta we have ever had. Just perfect as it could be. Not to mention that the portion was so big, that we had to take the rest away, as it would have been a shame to leave it there. The service was very kind and the prices are reasonable. This bar is special, the atmosphere, the drinks are all magic, but what makes it special is the people, and of course the dogs! We regularly visited here throughout our stay in Sorrento and we had.a fantastic time ever night we were there, having a great laugh with the staff and other holiday goers, the people at banana split create an amazing atmosphere and you're guaranteed to have an amazing time. Ivan, thank you and everyone at banana split for making our time in Sorrento that more special, I'm going to have a look through my football top collection and send you something to hang up with the others, hopefully we can see eachother again in the future, until then take care.
