4.8 stars in reviews. Wow. First things firstโฆdonโt expect to eat the best Thai restaurant outside of Thailand. Itโs not even close. We had quite a few dishes. So tried quite a lot. Their best dish was the fried rice, The other was good and tasty, but far from authentic, due mainly to lack of the correct spices(PS I donโt mean spiciness, but in spices like galangang etc) Thatโs why that Tom yam lacked the authentic taste. Worse dish was the Pad Thai. They used vinegar?!? It was quite off taste wise.
But on the otherhand we are in Italy. For Italyโฆ.they deserve the 4.8 easily. We travelled with my parents who were travelling as part of a tour, after 7 days of Italian food, they crave rice and Asian food. For anyone who has travelled in italy before โฆfinding good Asian food is extremely difficult. TBH I had my worse foodie experience in Rome when I ate a Chinese restaurant there. It was so badโฆ.I cried inside, Esspecailly when you compare it with the Italian food.
Compared to that, this place was simply amazing. The main dishes came with white rice. Thatโs the Italian partโฆits quite difficult to share because with each dish w=you get white rice included.
For me if you craze decent Asian food while in a,alfi coast, Sorrento. This place is a safe refuge and you will be glad that you can eat here.IMO a must visits for any Asian who craves there portion of white rice.
Service was great and attentative.
We parked 300M away. In Sorrento parking...
ย ย ย Read moreThe food at the Orange Tree tree was tasty. We shared spring rolls to start before ordering noodles and a curry. The spring rolls were particularly tasty. We were given complimentary prawn crackers which were a little greasy however did the job. The service had been good until we finished our meals where the restaurant became significantly busier. We asked for the bill and were told it would be brought shortly. In the meantime we were offered limoncello which we accepted which we assumed would be complimentary as is customary after a meal. After 10 minutes we asked for the bill again but were once again ignored. We understand the custom of relaxed dining being at a slower pace than you may find elsewhere in the world, however, the service throughout the earlier portion of our meal was not consistent in this approach. My boyfriend then decided to go up to the front desk to settle the bill this way instead. He was ignored by all staff for another 5 minutes resulting us waiting over 25 minutes to pay at the end. On receiving the bill we noted we had paid โฌ1.5 cover per person which was not advertised on the menu and โฌ3 for...

Everything here is cooked from fresh and you can definitely taste it. We opted for the Gyoza, Fried chicken and Spring rolls for starters... we like variety so we wanted to try a few things - the spring rolls were particularly tasty - chicken, vegetables and rice noodles inside served with sweet chilli sauce. And for mains - the Panang and the Pad Krapow. The mains were filling and they came with rice but the flavours were incredible - the meat was fresh and the flavours were just as you'd expect for Thai food .
The staff were excellent, they made sure at every course that everything was okay, they knew their stuff, right down to the cuisine and the beverages. This was quality service. We left with full bellies and smiles. Cannot...
