La Torretta — Restaurant in Spoleto

Would give them zero stars if I could. We heard this was one of THE places to eat in Spoleto.

Walked there during the day to check out the menu before dinner to get an idea. We figured the four mice we saw (3 living and 1 dead) were simple becuase it was outside.

But, when we came back later at 7:15 PM for our dinner, a mouse ran out the door as we walked out.

The man inside said "don't worry, nothing to worry about". We said "No grazie! Ce ne stiamo andando." and quickly turned around. Four mice before opened and one running out as we tried to go in? No thanks. I was looking forward to the Fillet of Beef with Summer Truffle.......but miss me with the side of lymphocytic choriomeningitis.

Walked up the street to Il Panciolle. They sat us right away, feed us the best food in Spoleto and no one was worried about catching...

Delicious food! Very tasty menu, delicious desserts, friendly and helpful staff. The website says the restaurant opens at 7pm but when we got there staff said 7.30pm. Little bit frustrating as we were desperately trying to find a restaurant for dinner with young kids BUT a lot of restaurants in Spoleto and Terni (Umbria) open for dinner from 7.30/8pm- so be prepared if travelling with young ones with earlier dinner times. Restaurant was lovely but they did see is hanging around until 7.30pm (with a 4 and 6yr old) and we weren't offered a seat to wait before then. Again can't fault the food but the restaurant website is incorrect,...

Prenotato per ore 20 di giorno infrasettimanale. "Generosa" valutazione in quanto: A): all'atto dell'ordinazione: tortelli di carne al ristretto d'arrosto: terminati (alle h. 20!!!); B) tagliatelle homemade con funghi porcini: non disponibili in quanto "...i pochi porcini che abbiamo li utilizziamo solo per il filetto" (!!!???!!!); C) in sostituzione si ripiega su antipasto: strapazzata di uova con tartufo e bruschette, con tartufo (in pratica un accenno) privo del benchè minimo sapore e 3 bruschettine, di cui una con un filo di olio; D) di secondo si è optato per il proposto filetto di maiale ai funghi porcini: carne oltremodo asciutta, su una crema vegetale con a fianco alcuni pezzettini di porcini che abbiamo lasciato nel piatto in quanto completamente bruciati; E) non conoscendo i vini locali, ci siamo fidati di quanto da Loro consigliato e presentato come espressione di " validissima cantina" del territorio: dopo un paio di bicchieri è risultato estremamente "ruvido" al palato, ma a quel punto non abbiamo ritenuto di farcelo cambiare; F) locale solo all'apparenza elegante: serata rovinata dal caos, estremamente fastidioso oltrechè maleducato, di una compagnia di "amici" del titolare che, nell'accasione, non sì è mai discostato dalla loro tavolata, tanto che, in uno con vicino tavolo altrettanto infastidito, ci siamo alzati dopo il secondo e pagato un conto dal bassissimo rapporto ...
