Ristorante La Pescheria — Restaurant in Stresa

The good thing about this restaurant is the beautiful location, the complementary boat trip and the nice friendly staff.

Everything else is either subpar or so bad it's insulting.

This restaurant is the text book definition of a tourist trap. The quality of the food was so low that if this was located in any traditional Italian city, the restaurant would go bankrupt in a couple of weeks.

The bread was old, the melon (melon and prosciutto entry) was dry, the lasagna had clearly been frozen and the main dish, which was supposed to be local grilled fish with vegetables - the "catch of the day" - was clearly not fresh and had the additional touch of the grilled vegetables being cold as if they just came out of the fridge, as they probably did.

The food was a perfect treat to the local cat, a cute furry guy who ended up having most of our fish. For humans who are used to quality Italian food I'd strongly suggest to stay away...

I have just eaten one of the best meals that I have had in 7 weeks of travelling Italy. What made it so exceptional was the service. The 2 waiters were attentive and friendly. I was greeted with a smile and shown to a table overlooking the Lake (I am travelling on my own and sometimes get a less than perfect spot). I was given a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a small bruschetta. Then the delicious meal. I enjoyed Black Angus Affumicato (not sure of the spelling) served with pickled vegetables. Then Slow cooked Calamari with potato wedges and steamed green beans. So good. Tiramisu completed the meal. All for a very reasonable price. My compliments to the Chef and the staff at La Pescheria. Ho recentemente visitato il Ristorante La Pescheria e sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dall'esperienza complessiva.

Inizierei con l'aspetto estetico del locale. La copertina del menu, fatta di pelle, aggiunge un tocco di classe e raffinatezza all'ambiente. Questo piccolo dettaglio ha immediatamente catturato la mia attenzione, trasmettendo un senso di qualità sin dal momento in cui sono entrato nel ristorante.

Un altro elemento che ho notato e apprezzato è il pattern elegante presente sui tovaglioli. Questo tocco di design ha aggiunto un tocco di stile alla tavola, creando un'atmosfera accogliente e raffinata.

Passando al servizio, devo dire che i camerieri si sono dimostrati bravi e gentili. Tuttavia, ho notato che alcuni di loro avevano difficoltà a comprendere appieno la lingua, probabilmente a causa della loro origine straniera. Ciò ha portato a un leggero ritardo nell'ordine dei piatti, ma nulla di troppo fastidioso. Nel complesso, hanno cercato di soddisfare le nostre richieste nel migliore dei modi possibili.

Per quanto riguarda il cibo, ho avuto la fortuna di assaggiare alcune prelibatezze. Le patate arrosto erano semplicemente divine. Croccanti all'esterno e morbide all'interno, hanno rappresentato un contorno perfetto per la tagliata che ho scelto. La carne era succulenta e gustosa, ma un po’ dura.

Tuttavia, devo ammettere che l'antipasto di pesce non era eccezionale come mi aspettavo. Non era particolarmente memorabile, ma comunque decente. Forse avrebbero potuto migliorare l'equilibrio di sapori e presentazione per renderlo più appetitoso.

Per quanto riguarda il prezzo, posso dire che rientra nella media rispetto ad altri ristoranti simili nella zona. Nel complesso, ritengo che il rapporto qualità-prezzo sia equilibrato, considerando l'esperienza complessiva offerta dal Ristorante La Pescheria.

In conclusione, se state cercando un ristorante dove mangiare bene con un'atmosfera raffinata e un servizio cordiale, vi consiglio di considerare il Ristorante La Pescheria.
