Nuovo Ristorante Peperosa — Restaurant in Syracuse

Peperosa is a small restaurant hidden in an alley in the ortigia island of Siracusa. We went there for lunch and had an amazing experience thanks to the great service provided by Barbara and Enza who recommended us what to eat and what bottle of wine was the best to match our chosen dishes. My first ever food review. I had to say something because this was the best pasta and tomato sauce I’ve ever had in my life. I know that’s not saying much since I’m from Alaska but I will say if you only have one restaurant to visit here in Ortigia, you must go here. The chef was the lone worker here too. Took the order, cooked the excellent meal, and took care of the payment process. One should travel the world and be so to taste...

Professionale. Proprio come dovrebbe essere un ristorante gestito in modo superbo e passionale. Ed è proprio la passione, della quale sono grande fan, a trasparire nei piatti (freschi, ben cucinati), nel servizio (velocissimo ed educato), nelle piccole attenzioni (abbiamo chiesto 4 gin tonic a mo' di aperitivo ed anche lì la ricerca di materie prime d'eccellenza traspare vividamente). Ho passato una serata piacevole in compagnia di belle persone, vivaci e sensibili. Mi chiedo spesso: "Chissà come sarebbe andata se fossi stato accompagnato da persone noiose, cupe e tristi..." Si sa che la compagnia è importante... Ad esempio: è inutile fare un viaggio a Parigi se ad accompagnarvi è una persona che detestate: anche Parigi, in quello specifico caso, vi lascerá un brutto ricordo. Non è il caso della mia serata al Peperosa che eccelle tranquillamente in tutto. Anche nel prezzo. In conclusione: se avete la fortuna di avere accanto belle persone, di quelle che non ti bastano gli occhi per guardarle, è il posto giusto, sarete perfettamente a vostro agio. Se invece la serata prende una brutta piega e la frase "a cu ma fici fari" prospetta una serata lunghissima e senza uno straccio di slancio verso la spensieratezza... andateci comunque: la vostra serata non cambierà, ma almeno conoscerete Enza che vale quanto tutto...
