Zi' Peppino — Restaurant in Termoli

We spontaneously went to visit Termoli with friends and we decided to look for somewhere to have dinner while we were walking in the Old Town. We selected Zi Peppino based on the high Google rating and good reviews - we are so glad we did!

It looks unassuming from the outside but upon going in we were greeted with a smile and we felt a homely atmosphere right away. Free water (both still and sparkling) were provided to us upon arrival, then some bread, and to my surprise, free prosecco as well! It only got better from here. We had the fish tempura and the polpo with pear to start. Then for mains we had the cacio e pepe served in a pecorino basket, matriciana di mare, spaghetti with fresh anchovies and pecorino cheese and frittura mista. For dessert we had the mille foglie and the meringue. Everything was amazing, the quality of the food and presentation was incredible and the service was friendly and attentive.

We were so glad that the chef came out so we had the chance to convey our appreciation of his cooking. Our waitress told us that the chef has worked around the world and even in private yachts, which made sense considering what we just ate. We were also given free liqueur at the end, something typical from the area.

Con immenso piacere condivido la mia esperienza al ristorante Zi Peppino di Termoli, un luogo che è molto più di una semplice tappa gastronomica: è un vero viaggio nei sapori autentici della cucina di mare, vissuto in un ambiente curato, elegante e accogliente in ogni dettaglio.

Appena entrati si percepisce subito la raffinatezza e l’amore con cui questo posto è stato pensato. Ogni elemento dell’arredo racconta attenzione e buon gusto, creando un’atmosfera calda ma allo stesso tempo sofisticata. È il tipo di posto dove ti siedi e sai già che vivrai qualcosa di speciale.

E così è stato.

Le pietanze sono un trionfo di freschezza, equilibrio e passione. Se volete assaporare davvero l’anima gastronomica di Zi Peppino, non potete perdere l’antipasto della casa: una selezione generosa e sapientemente pensata di assaggi di pesce che raccontano, uno dopo l’altro, tutta la cultura marinara e l’eccellenza della cucina.

Ma ciò che rende l’esperienza ancora più indimenticabile è la straordinaria accoglienza del personale. Un servizio attento, mai invadente, sempre sorridente. In particolare, un grazie di cuore a Francesca, che è stata di una gentilezza rara: premurosa, delicata, sempre presente al momento giusto. La sua professionalità e il suo modo di accogliere e coccolare gli ospiti con discrezione e calore hanno davvero fatto la differenza. Ci ha accompagnati nella scelta dei piatti con competenza e un entusiasmo contagioso ed é stata meravigliosa in ogni momento.

Zi Peppino non è solo un ristorante: è una coccola per il palato e per l’anima.

We walked thru town and really wanted to eat in old town, Zi Peppino was close to our hotel, so we stopped in. What a great meal we had. Fish was so tasty and fresh. Good wine selection, prices were good, and service was great. If I had one criticism of the restaurant it would be their decor, the outside looked to fit into the old town vibe.
