Enoteca Oberdan — Restaurant in Todi

This was the worst dining experience of our holiday in Umbria. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of our villa, This is a small restaurant with 12 seats inside served by the chef and owner for 18 years. She doesn't have any help, one person to greet, take orders, prepare, cook and clear the tables.

The highlight of the evening was the excellent local red wine, very reasonably priced. The spaghetti pasta with oil and garlic was tasty, but perhaps a bit undercooked. The lamb was horrendous, it was breaded and fried, using poor cuts of lamb, it looked like KFC but not as good. The sliced beef was also disappointing. The side salad was turning brown in places.

The chefs demeanor changed early in the evening from engaging to glomb. I don't know if anything happened, but it was an hour and a half from arrival until we saw our main. It was an amateur...

What a great place! I had an incredible dinner at Enoteca Oberdan. The whole experience was very authentic and outstanding. Elsa, the owner is a “one woman show”. She is a real rockstar! She cooks incredibly, and she has a huge knowledge of wines. The menu has a few dishes, and those I tried satisfied all my expectations. My favorite was Spaghetti with little tomatoes and tuna that is usually a simple dish to make and not always popular in Italian restaurants. So I bet on it and… wow! this was probably the best I have ever had in many years. Elsa is always smiling and has an incredible energy. Great value for what you pay. Definitely recommended.
