Dear La Baia team, we would like to thank you again for the marvellous food and the excellent atmosphere at your restaurant. We can’t keep track of how many years we have been your guests, it feels more like family members anyway. 10? 12 years? Every October and sometimes Easter... The best pizza ever, the best culurgiones (typical Sardinian pasta), calamari arrosto, frittura di calamari, orata arrosto, I could go on because we have tried the most of what’s on your “plate”. Last but not least, the “Misto della Baia” is exceptional as a starter. It serves two people well and one still has enough room for the main dish. But it’s not only the food what makes us come back to you a couple of times every year. It is also the atmosphere. You are just honest. You yawn openly when you are tired late in the evening cleaning the tables. You smile when you are happy and you don’t when there are so many people that it’s really stressful and you can hardly keep the pace. You never pretend anything. This is what makes you authentic and a real family restaurant that we always come back to and know that we can also feel at ease and be our honest selves. This is exceptional. As I am 52 and my husband 71, that means YOU are THE RESTAURANT OF OUR LIFE. There is no other that we have visited more often or will WANT TO visit more often in our entire life. A very disappointing experience. We arrived on time but did not receive the outdoor table we had been promised, and were seated indoors instead. I ordered my steak medium, but it was served completely raw, even less cooked than rare. After sending it back, it still wasn’t prepared properly. The seafood pasta was extremely basic and poorly executed, with overcooked ingredients that made it unenjoyable. Overall, the dishes were bland and underseasoned. The biggest disappointment, however, was the staff’s attitude: instead of apologizing for the mistakes, they laughed at us mockingly, made condescending remarks, and made us feel like we were the problem for pointing out the issues. This created a very unpleasant and awkward atmosphere that completely ruined the evening. The only acceptable dish was the pizza, but neither the food nor the service came anywhere close to expectations. I do not recommend this...

Charge yourself with a lot of patience until you get served! So,.. don’t go hungry because you wait long time to be asked what do you want to order. We waited 30 minutes to get water, then another 15 minutes to order. Once the order was placed we got the meal pretty on time. Then… another 30 minutes passed and nobody came by. Couldn’t ask for a desert or for the payment! Irritating!! The fish and the cotzi were excellent, also the pecorino arrosto(5 stars!) but the pasta sauce needs more flavor (oregano or basil?), otherwise ok. The patates fritte never came, neither the extra lemon for the grilled mixed fish. The place is too busy and they can’t take appropriate care of the clients. It’s a risk. And we had a...
