Pescaria - Trani — Restaurant in Trani

Recently we visited this place in Polignano a Mare, and were excited to find out that it’s actually a chain and they have the same seafood restaurant here in Trani. We’re staying in Barletta — Trani is just 10 minutes away by train for us. Today we had planned a walk around this historic little town and decided to finish our evening with dinner at Pescaria.

We started with a trio of sashimi featuring incredibly fresh tuna, amberjack, and salmon. The fish was super fresh and simply melted in the mouth. I was glad they had balsamic sauce on the table — it complemented the flavor of the fish perfectly.

For our mains, my wife and I ordered two panini: one was a tuna tartare sandwich, which, as it turns out, was voted the best sandwich in Italy for two years in a row by TimeOut magazine. All I can say is — the sandwich was truly divine. I always thought tartare was finely chopped meat or fish. But here, the pieces were large and juicy, and together with the sauce and veggies, the sandwich was absolutely superb.

The second panino was created by Peppe Guida, a renowned Michelin-starred Italian chef, featuring calamari, pumpkin in oil, and buffalo ricotta — absolutely delicious! Of course, my wife and I split both sandwiches in half so we could try everything. I asked her afterward which one she liked best, and honestly, she couldn’t decide.

Our third dish was a plate of fried seafood — king prawns, baby octopus, and calamari. Usually, I’m not a fan of battered food because the coating often masks the true taste of the product. But that wasn’t the case here. Everything was exquisite!

All of this was enjoyed with a glass of sparkling rosé.

As for the prices — the place positions itself as fast food. However, the prices are definitely higher than what you’d expect at a typical fast-food spot. But it’s also true that very few restaurants serve sandwiches and dishes of this quality. So in my opinion, the mprices are justified.

We’ll definitely be coming back to this place again. And I can also say from experience that the team at Pescaria truly knows how to work with their customer's satisfaction— and that’s really important!

Ho visitato recentemente PESCARIA e purtroppo devo dire che l'esperienza è stata deludente, soprattutto considerando che si tratta di una catena di ristoranti di pesce che dovrebbe garantire una certa qualità. Ho ordinato una frittura di anelli e ciuffi di totano dal menu, che indicava chiaramente una porzione da 250g. Tuttavia, quando il piatto è arrivato, sono rimasto sconcertato nel vedere una vaschetta praticamente vuota, con non più di 150g di prodotto. Per di più, mi sono ritrovato delle chips non ordinate accanto alla frittura, probabilmente un maldestro tentativo di mascherare la porzione insufficiente.

Ho immediatamente fatto presente la cosa al personale, ma la loro risposta è stata altrettanto deludente. Si sono limitati a portare il piatto in cucina per poi riportarlo al tavolo, affermando che era stato pesato già cotto (??) e che corrispondeva a 250g. Trovo difficile credere che questa porzione rispecchi davvero la quantità dichiarata e, a peggiorare le cose, l'atteggiamento del personale è stato completamente indifferente alla mia segnalazione.

Vorrei anche sottolineare che sono stato diverse volte alla sede di Polignano, dove il servizio e la qualità sono decisamente superiori. Lo stesso piatto, in quella sede, è visivamente e sostanzialmente più abbondante, il che rende questa esperienza ancora più deludente.

In sintesi, la mia esperienza presso la Pescaria di Trani è stata decisamente negativa. Tra porzioni ridicole e un servizio clienti scarso, non posso fare a meno di sconsigliare questo locale. Di certo,...

Sono stato al ristorante Pescaria a Trani diverse volte e devo dire che i loro panini sono semplicemente deliziosi. Questo locale è diventato un punto di riferimento per me quando si tratta di pesce di qualità servito in modo rapido ed efficiente.

La qualità del pesce utilizzato nei loro panini è eccezionale. Ogni volta che ho ordinato un panino al Pescaria, ho sempre trovato ingredienti freschi e gustosi. Il menu offre una varietà di opzioni, consentendo di scegliere tra diverse combinazioni di gusti e sapori.

Un altro aspetto che mi ha colpito è la velocità del servizio nonostante l'elevata affluenza. Infatti il ristorante è spesso molto affollato ma i tempi di attesa sono sempre sorprendentemente brevi. Questo dimostra che il personale è ben organizzato e in grado di gestire l'affluenza in modo efficiente senza compromettere la qualità del cibo.

Un altro punto positivo è la disponibilità di posti a sedere, anche durante le serate più affollate. Trovare un posto in un ristorante molto frequentato può essere una sfida, ma qui sembrano aver risolto questo problema. Questo permette di gustare il panino comodamente seduti, senza doversi preoccupare di cercare un posto o doverlo consumare in piedi.

Tutto considerato, sono diventato un cliente abituale per una buona ragione. I loro panini di pesce sono semplicemente deliziosi, il servizio è rapido e l'atmosfera è piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questo posto a chiunque desideri gustare un ottimo panino di pesce in un ambiente...
