Ristorante Campo Norcineria con Cucina — Restaurant in Trapani

Sadly, after seeing this restaurant was so well reviewed, it did not live up to expectation. This may have just been an unfortunate one-off situation that doesn't happen often.

We asked to sit outside and the waiter kindly let us despite not having an outdoor booking. Extensive wine list which is great, but you will likely struggle if you don't know what you're looking for.

When ordering the sharing steak for two of us (prime rib) we were suggested to try two types as we were undecided. The minimum weight would be 1.2kg for these which is way too much food for two. Proceeded to order the prime rib Sakura Yoza (Marbling 7/9) after being told it was one of the best on menu. At this stage I felt if I hadn't researched portions we would have been wrongly encouraged, just taking advantage of English. Nevertheless, we were excited for the food ahead.

The steak arrived and looked amazing. However we had no steak knife to cut and was also expecting it to be pre sliced as the table next to us had received. After waiting a while we asked for a knife so we could start. The cut was extremely chewy and inedible, I sadly had to spit out the majority that I tried. We asked for it to be cut up in case we weren't cutting against the grain.

Once returned it was still just as chewy which I mentioned to the waiter. He just said it was supposed to be like that. Thankfully, another member of staff noticed and quickly intervened and offered an entrecote instead. We agreed and this was significantly better so massively appreciate this.

The sides and starter were delicious and the actual flavour of the steak was too.

I think we just had a bad experience and unfortunately means we wouldn't return. It did feel like they were happy to take advantage of people with lack of knowledge on what to order. Would recommend to stick to individual...

When you are looking for a tasty dinner, it is a great place. The best entrecote ever!

BUT... it was very loud place. We could not hear each other and when we wanted to say something we had to rise our voice as well. Im aware that it was some family celebration going on there but still it was just too much. But maybe another day is much better. We had just bad luck. AND... After our arrival we were waiting to order our meal around 20 minutes. From my place I saw that the waitres were just looking at us and the next table with people and could not decided who from All colleagues will take the orders. Once they had taken order we waited another hour for our dinner. When we asked for another water they forgot to bring it. When after another 30 minutes we finally asked for the bill (nobody was going to check if we need something), the woman came and within 1 second she put it on the table and left. Not even enough time to ask for payment with the card. So we were again waiting. Then I tried to get their attention and three od them could barely decided who will come to us with terminal. Not professional at all. On the bill was amount of 6 eur for service. I have no problem to give a tip but here was NO SERVICE for even less amount. So I hope they will improve their behaviour and decide which part of the restaurant is who 's responsibility so they will stop arguing in front...

The restaurant's impeccable appearance, interior is pleasant, food is tasty. We ordered pasta, the dishes were okay. I can't share my opinion about the meat dishes, but presented meat gives the impression of good quality. And that would be all of the pluses. The service was terrible. We felt like intruders. None of the waiters tried to advise us on the choice of the dish, even though we clearly thought about it for a long time. Nobody asked how the dish tasted. We had to ask for the ordered drinks, because nobody brought them to us. After the meal, despite the empty plates, we were still ignored. After asking for the bill, another waiter brought us a menu with desserts. We had to ask for the bill again. Restaurant is not only about tasty food, the atmosphere is also important. As foreign customers, we felt excluded and ignored...
