If I could put 0 stars I would. The service was APPALLING! The steak was cold, the manager decided to passively aggressively approach the table, EAT a section of steak off my friends plate then slam it back onto the table ( no regard for health regulations / contamination, bare hands were used) and profess the steak in his opinion is perfect? Who would want to eat food which a member of staff has just stuck their bare hands into? The food was well below average, over cooked potatoes, oily grilled vegetables which consisted of 2 burnt slices of zucchini and 2 slices of eggplant. Lasagne looked like a microwave special , so salty, not the Italian cuisine I have become accustomed to on my many trips to this beautiful place. Same manager , who had stated to the table that the cold steak would be removed from the bill, then decided to be aggressive and cause a huge scene when we politely took him up on his original offer of taking the steak off the bill, resulting in him picking out the person of colour in the mixed ethnic group and calling the police saying he was refusing to pay completely lying as this member of the group had already paid over €40 his share of the bill? What sets apart a dining experience for me is not only the ambience and customer service but the heart that’s puts into the food that manifests into meal that elevates all the senses. Fabio is very passionate about the food he prepares and it shows with each morsel we had the luxury of enjoying! The pork ribs, the meat on a hot stone paired with a nice glass of red wine was just divine. The delicate dance of balancing seasoning yet maintaining the integrity of the protein was done with such aplomb.I was curious about the dessert, he said that he creates whatever he feels like and it was homemade. We were sat outside by our lovely host, Stefania who was accommodating and helpful in explaining menu choices in detail. Had their perfectly seasoned Bresaola (thin sliced beef salami served raw) with arugula and parmesan. The Pesce di Lago in Cartoccio, steamed & presented wrapped in foil was fresh and tasty (Please note the 2 local lake fish in this entree are served whole, bones & all and best eaten with your fingers. Moist towelette included for afterwards.) The Risotto al Pesce Persico was very good, the creamiest risotto I've tasted. Also had a local Jack IPA as well as Prosecco & Aperol Spritz - all good.
