Ristorante Bosketto — Restaurant in Treviso

I don't usually write reviews, but this one visit to this establishment leaves me no choice but to do so. To start off, I visited this place in the company of 4 other people. From the very beginning, right after we were seated, the attitude of one specific waiter was incredibly dismissive and rude. We were the only guests in the entire restaurant, and somehow were forgotten about right after ordering our food. Our wine was not served for at least 20 minutes, and was given to us only after a reminder. Very warm. The waitress acted annoyed and dismissive when we asked for it. And after some wait, yet again, all of the food was given to us cold. Mind you, again, we were the only customers there. The whole time the staff was talking about us from behind the bar, but we started to feel especially uncomfortable when we started to receive dirty looks. The cherry on top of it all was the hair in the hamburger we ordered. After bringing attention to it, the waitress still put the dish on our bill. After all of that we came back home and wrote a review. The response was not only disappointing, but discriminatory at best. The restaurant management talked about us being foreigners, and told us to go back to our country. They said that WE put the hair in the dish and lied about it. (deleting their response shortly after) It is incredibly disappointing to see such a response from the management of this place. Not only was the hamburger the cheapest dish in our entire order, which would make absolutely 0 sense for us to put the hair in, the hair of the waitress was the same exact color as the hair in the dish. It's sad to see how the restaurant not only supports xenophobia, but doubles down on it. Instead of fully dismissing us as customers and giving us a different treatment because we are not from Italy, please reconsider how you operate. At this point, this is saddening and comical at...

THE WORST RESTAURANT and EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.

first of all is the service. or its absence. waitress Aurora especially mainly. ABSOLUTE disgrace, not a professional.

5 of us placed an order and asked for a bottle of wine. in 15-20 minutes we reminded her of that wine we ordered. she gave us the dirtiest look like it was our fault. that’s your job, ma’am?? what’s with the tude?? k moving over - she finally brought us that bottle of wine which was warm and not drinkable without ice but ok.

MIND YOU we were THE ONLY GUESTS IN THIS RESTAURANT. literally it was empty besides our table. food came in 45 minutes and we were finally exited to eat. and guess what??? it was cold. I asked for my steak be medium-rare and it was well-done and cold. all food was cold, not seasoned but THEY SURE DO LIKE THEIR SALT! :) absolutely not worth the money. 5€ kebab would be a much better choice than this. meanwhile we eating 3 waiters just staring at us and not even hiding how they are on the spot discussing our table. THE LAST DROP was the hamburger we ordered. being nice to the staff all evening, expecting the same attitude - this what made me to write this review. one of us ordered a hamburger which came basically as a bread and a patty. burger itself was uneatable but they had a secret ingredient - HAIR! clearly waitresses hair casually garnishing a hamburger. not good. thank you but i’m full. after we told Aurora about that hair she said “it’s not ours”. so we put it ourselves, MA’AM? she physically took and out and after asking for our bill this hamburger was not excluded. we refused to pay for that hamburger but to be honest that whole meal wasn’t worth a dime.

I must immediately point out that we were delighted by the Bosketto restaurant. From the reception, the ambiance, the atmosphere, the food and the service, everything was magnificent. In the heart of Treviso, Bosketto is a corner of taste and sophistication, a restaurant of welcome and relaxation, perfect for an intimate dinner, for an intimate lunch, for a family lunch, for a social dinner or an informal aperitif. The Bosketto restaurant is located near the walls of Treviso by the river Sila and is named after the dense vegetation that surrounds it. The river, trees and plants frame a room built entirely of wood according to the context. Inside, an open barbecue surrounded by metal constructions in a charming industrial style, tables for 8 people are perfect for dinners with friends and 4 comfortable leather sofas in the English style evoke an atmosphere of relaxation. And now about the food. For starters, excellent "Tagliere Bosketto", a tray of cold cuts and cheeses with delicious sauces and delicious "Polpette di vitello in umido con pane casarecco", mixed meat balls in tomato sauce with toasted bread, and delicious "Gnocchi al Ragu da Anatra". Then for the main course we ate grilled meat "Selezione Bosketto", sliced roast beef, chicken leg, sausages, marinated pork ribs, bacon, polenta and a side dish of baked potatoes. Everything was phenomenal. Kudos to the chef. We ended the lunch with great cakes, in Treviso with the inevitable Tiramisu, then with Torta della Nonna, puff pastry cake with cheese and phenomenal Biscuits accompanied by mascarpone cream.
