As we used both services (restaurant and accommodation in the upper part of the house) allow me to give both A++ rating. We arrived late so the first night we had just a few cold appetisers like "mystery meatball" or "fish cupcake" - sorry, have no idea what they are called, nevertheless were delicious. The main treat came the second eve when we had enough time to get the proper food: fried burrata with pickled veggies and tartare from tuna followed by ab fab risotto with fresh local mushrooms. The guys serving you always find some time to make a joke here and there and smile. If not for the accommodation, which was a dream on its own with the breathtaking view directly on the river, you should totally come for a supper or aperitivo. Reservation recommended, no table was empty...

Perfect location off the Sila river within the old town Treviso. Locanda is a 15th century structure preserved and visible but with all modern fixtures. We had to book 2 different rooms for 2 nights are there was no availability for a single room - on arrival our hosts kindly arranged for us to have the same room for 2 nights. Very accommodating. The rooms are named - ours was Rebecca, well appointed, large modern bathroom, view of the river and old town from large picture windows. The breakfast was a la carte with tasty offerings. The bar and restaurant was lively with outdoor seating.

Most amazing setting by the river for one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The waiting staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Great selection of good wine by the glass and the Gnocchi and Tiramisu were second to non. I’m always a bit dubious when people say that their Tiramisu is fabulous, but the Tiramisu at Locanda Ponte Dante was by far the best I ever had. Also very sensibly priced for a meal of this standard.

Set in a building dating back to the 14th century, Locanda Ponte Dante is an osteria with rooms above. I stayed there for two nights but I didn't try the osteria. However, since I am very satisfied with my stay, I will not only stay again here the next time I am in Treviso, but I will try the food too.

The locanda is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station. A five minute walk gets you to the historical centre of the city. The room I stayed in, the Caronte room, is a single room and despite that, it is really spacious, including the bathroom. The tv is quite large and the same goes for the shower. The only thing that needs improvement is the water pressure of the shower head, although showering was great while using the overhead waterfall shower.

The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. You will be offered fried or scrambled eggs, cheese or bacon or salmon, which are freshly cooked for you. The sweet breakfast includes cereals, juice, nuts, dried fruit, jams, yogurt and a fresh apple. Everything was very yummy.

Even though the locanda does not have a lift, there are only a few stairs and the staff kindly takes up and down your luggage as needed.

Thanks very much for the service and I...

After a month of travel in Europe, we enjoyed our favorite breakfast at this hotel -- primarily because of the table presentation. Each and every table was set with its own supply of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, etc.||Anyway, this hotel was very well located for us. It was walking distance from the train station, and adjacent to the old town center of Treviso. Also, it was just 2 minutes walk from where we met our Beescover guide for a walking tour of the city.||Our room was very comfortable, and we truly enjoyed the view of the canal from the window. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rate we paid was reasonable, and the WiFi & air conditioning was strong.||Our rate included breakfast (served starting at 7:30am), but we had to miss the breakfast on the last day of our stay -- so the hotel gave us a bag breakfast the night before.|| BTW, the hotel's restaurant was great too. We had dinner there one night, and it was our best...

Small hotel and osteria with historical ambiente centrally located by the river Sile. Less than 10 min easy walk to Piazza dei signori. Curbside parking just opposite the hotel with a fee , or in the alternative, covered parking 200 m away. Our room was modernised to a high standard of comfort and had a good bathroom with a shower. The old walls and staircases had been painstakingly conserved and parts of old affreschi still visible. |Cleanliness and service were impeccable. Many thanks to friendly Gianmarco at the reception who helped us with parking and the luggage and had valuable restaurant recommendations for dinner. Gianmarco also served us an excellent breakfast in the osteria downstairs ( which was unfortunately closed at the time of our stay). Great service and overall good value for money! |We...
