🇬🇧 Trattoria all’Oca Bianca – Lovely setting, but a disappointing experience This trattoria is known for being a quiet, non-touristy spot with a truly cozy atmosphere – and that’s exactly what brought us in. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
It was the only restaurant in Treviso where we weren’t served the traditional bread basket. Just a few plastic-wrapped breadsticks were left on the table – which really breaks the charm of Italian hospitality.
We ordered a €12 bruschetta, and received just one slice of bread. My husband’s dish, a stuffed pasta, came with only four pieces.
Moreover, it had the highest wine prices we saw in Treviso.
The food is good, but the portion sizes, prices, and overall value felt disrespectful to the customer. In a city full of amazing restaurants, we believe there are equally tasty and much more generous options – where guests truly...
Read moreWent for dinner there tonight. They were kind enough to give us a table (for 2) if we came early. A limited menu but the quality was phenomenal. The first course of sardines (cooked 24 hours prior and marinated overnight) was sensational. The entrecôte was very slightly over done (more medium than medium rare) but I couldn’t complain. I asked for some pepper but didn’t require it as it was again marinated to perfection! The waitress, who had lived prior in the UK, chose both white and red wines which both complimented the food. I would definitely visit again if given the opportunity. The cost was...
Read moreIt was a suggestion from a friend and foodwise La Trattoria did not let us down. The food was very very good however, the service did not manage to match the food. For some strange rreson thery refused to sit us inside at an outside temperature of 35 C. It was scorching hot in the alley and the sun just above us. While its true that the sun was on us for only 10 min its was not very plesant to eat outside while its an empty rrstaurant inside. Hoever, the food made up...
