Caffè alla Stazione — Restaurant in Trieste

After a morning sightseeing we went to the bus station ( next to railway station) to check where to catch our coach back to Pula. This is the closest bar we could find. Perfectly pleasant and simple establishment. Some outdoor seating to the front but very busy road junction. Thus sat in the cooler inside. Ordered two large beers alla spina from Forst brewery...an Italian brewery...think this is my first taste. Paulicarus says nice and cold and quite a strong flavour for a lager. Came with a bowl of potato crisps. All very good...and then two mini panini also gratis for Noma and Lisa. Pay at bar. Good service. 6€ for a 0.4l beer....

Avoid this place – tourist trap near the station

I stopped by this bar near the station and was extremely disappointed. The prices listed on the menu were completely different from what I was charged. When I pointed it out, the staff was dismissive and rude. It's clear they take advantage of tourists who are just passing through. Dishonest pricing, poor service, and a clear lack of transparency. Save your money and...

Questa mattina ci siamo recati questo bar situato in posizione centrale, nei pressi della stazione di Trieste. Una volta accomodati al tavolo, siamo stati subito raggiunti da una cameriera che si è rivolta a noi con modi decisamente scortesi e arroganti, chiedendo cosa volessimo ordinare senza alcuna cortesia o disponibilità. Alla mia semplice e gentile richiesta di conoscere i gusti dei cornetti disponibili, mi è stato risposto – in tono altezzoso e infastidito – che, se volevo un cornetto, dovevo alzarmi e andare a guardare alla vetrina. Trovo inaccettabile che in un locale dove il servizio al tavolo prevede un supplemento, il personale non solo non conosca i prodotti che offre, ma ritenga anche di poter trattare i clienti con maleducazione e sufficienza. A fronte di questo atteggiamento irrispettoso, abbiamo deciso di andarcene senza consumare. Dispiace constatare che molte delle recensioni positive che si leggono su questo posto non corrispondano minimamente alla realtà. Un locale può avere una buona posizione, ma senza professionalità e rispetto per il cliente, non merita alcuna considerazione. Fatevi un regalo, andate altrove e...
