Mr.Mido BBQ House Grill — Restaurant in Trieste

After eight days in Italy with two kids, we have tried everything from fresh seafood and fish to authentic pastas and pizzas at some fantastic restaurants. Last day we were craving something hearty and meat-focused right before our flight home. Options were limited since most items had sold out—but the owner kindly suggested their kebab and chicken dishes. What a revelation! The food was absolutely delicious: tender, juicy meat bursting with freshness, paired with an excellent sauce ( mint and coriander ?not sure ) and perfect simple sides. They do not keep their actual schedule in sync with their schedule on Google Maps!

They were not closed on Google Maps but they were closed when we arrived (17:45). There was a paper announcement on their doors that they (re-open) at 18:00.

We could not wait (we were bound by train departure time), so our planned dinner was ruined 😭

A service which does not respect their clients enough does not deserve such a high rating. (A service which does not bother keeping their schedule in sync with their own Google Maps schedule obviously can not be considered one which respects...

Ieri sera ci siamo fermate a mangiare qui al BBQ HOUSE & GRILL di viale D'Annunzio 18/c (salendo da piazza Garibaldi, dopo largo Sonnino, sulla sinistra), visto che ci passo davanti spesso e vedo le vetrine sempre in ordine e con prodotti freschi, oltreché sempre gente sui tavolini fuori a mangiare. Chi sono io per non provare e non lasciarvi una recensione? Innanzitutto Mohammed ed Elisa sono gentilissimi, in più il cibo è davvero buono. Hanno carne con certificazione halal; agnello, manzo, pollo, fegato, palle di manzo, peperoni / pomodori / cipolle / verze e insalate varie. Non Ricordo i nomi perché ero intenta a scegliermela, ma è carne come shish kebab ecc. Abbiamo assaggiato una zuppa buonissima, talmente buona che mi sono dimenticata di chiedere come fosse fatta. Forse lenticchie (che a me in genere non piacciono). Poi anche un the caldo loro molto buono. Un'altra cosa che mi ha fatto piacere, è che abbiano anche 7up e Mirinda, ovvero le versioni di Sprite e Fanta del gruppo Pepsi: sono meno dolci delle più note e quindi, secondo il mio gusto, più buone. Non è facile trovare Mirinda, per cui me felice. Ad ogni modo: il piatto così, cioè 2 spiedini di carne a tua scelta, pane e questa verdura buonissima (la verza rossa marinata così non l'avevo mai assaggiata), 9 euro. La bibita 2 euro. C'è anche la possibilità di avere la carne in versione rotolo kebab, mi pare a 6 euro. Una scoperta molto interessante...
