Exco Cafe — Restaurant in Turin

I liked the hot chocolate—it was thick and had a real chocolate taste, not just an instant mix like many cafés. It could have been smoother since there were some lumps, but the flavor made up for it. The whipped cream on top was a nice touch.

My only issue is the glassware, especially the ones for sparkling water. They look old and scratched, and every time I’ve visited, they had an unpleasant smell. It might be good to wash them more carefully.

Bar nei pressi del Politecnico che strizza l'occhio agli studenti e ai dipendenti delle pause pranzo, proponendo un menu variegato, dal costo contenuto, e inevitabilmente dalla qualità mediocre.

I primi sono spesso serviti con accompagnamenti che mostrano la scarsa qualità delle materie prime, l'olio in primis. I secondi risultano sovente secchi, particolare questo riscontrato più volte nelle patate, o molli, caratteristica comune delle verdure che accompagno carni insipide, e dal gusto opinabile.

Da apprezzare la disponibilità di pane e grissini, offerti senza il pagamento del coperto. Primo, acqua e caffè generalmente sugli 8-8,50€.

Poco cambia negli aperitivi. Buoni i cocktail, mentre i taglieri sono spesso preparati con gli avanzi delle ore precedenti. (Un giorno ho pranzato con pasta al pesto genovese, di patate e fagiolini, la stessa poi servita su una vaschetta...
