University Canteen Castelfidardo — Restaurant in Turin

This canteen has got a combination of good and hygienic food at a very affordable price. Please note that price reductions are only available for students who have applied for the Canteen service through EDISU, otherwise you’ll have to pay the full price for the meal. Visit their site or office for further information. Your university ID card is fundamental, as it is used to recharge the Canteen money balance as well as to pay for the meal, but you can also pay in cash in its absence. The portions are more than enough, and you get complimentary water and drinks. There are different menus, which vary in price but the canteen staff is extremely helpful, if you’re nice to them, in case of need. Follow the rules and be respectful towards everyone. Enjoy!

The food here is really bad. Honestly, the only way someone might like it is if they’ve never tried anything else. The place usually smells weird, and the forks, spoons, and cups are often not clean.

They serve seafood almost every day, which isn’t great even if you like seafood — it’s usually poorly made and kind of ruins your appetite. If you don’t like seafood, you’ll struggle to find anything to eat. Pasta and vegetables are often half-cooked, and the flavors are all over the place — sometimes way too salty, other times completely tasteless.

Some of the staff can be rude to students too, which doesn’t help. I’ve tried food from here many times over the last two years, hoping it would get better, but it’s only gotten worse. Most of the time, I ended up throwing it away. Not recommended at all.

It’s the worst Mensa here in Turin (i checked four or five) maybe better to find...

I've been eating there for months, it's good.. Very good.. The only problem is that you need to wait in line for an hour to get your food, they are very slow.. And sometimes the amount of food they put is not that much, and in very rare occasions it can be cold, but something you need to keep in mind if you are a student is that yiu need to request the discount on your meals from Edisu, if you don't do that, they will make you pay 7.80...
