Much as I praise their being vegan, and their commitment to sparing animal lives, which is undoubtedly a great goal, I’d love a more emphatic attitude towards the occasional human customer… By 3pm the cook takes off their apron, and leaves the premises. I accidentally arrived at that time, as a new customer, the eatery was open, but I was barely greeted or welcomed in. A young woman in the kitchen saw me, didn’t bother to say hello and went on to the backyard to smoke a cigarette, kind of rude, isn’t it? I was attended, if I may say so, by a young man behind the counter. I could not enjoy their fresh cuisine. I had to settle for what was left over: a slice of savoury pie, (zucchini and tofu), not bad. It was not served warm enough. I was in a hurry and I had no time for asking for the pie to be heated again properly. I might go back at an earlier hour some day, and try their fresh plates. However, I wish their kitchen wasn't only open from noon to 3pm, that's quite a tight schedule. I wonder if the guys will be more welcoming next time.
