Quite disappointed to say the least.... For starters, the waitress was always trying to make us pay for more dishes, for example She won't let us order just for a mix of starters called as the restaurant itself to try everything, because in her own words, every "If we take starters it has to be for 2 people each, so being 4 you have to take 2". So we decided to order meatballs ("Pompette al Sugo") which were supposed to be typical of their area.... They still taste like the can they were stored in, and the meat very dry. The mix of starters, was pretty good, although knowing that there were 4 of us they put 3 things of each type.
In addition, we had ordered a "Parmigiana di Melaze" which was good, although it didn't taste very homemade.
Speaking of the canned taste, first we ordered 2 of pasta, the tomato sauce on the pasta ("Fusilli Salentini con Braciola") and the meatballs were like tomato Orlando. The mozzarella cheese on the pasta was very salty and also looked like cheap supermarket cheese not the best quality to say the least.
Also a meat stew ("Spezzatino di Asino"), which was actually good and some pork escalopes ("Bombette") with cheese, the latter were quite pitiful, a miserable portion, the cheese burnt and the meat overcooked.
In addition, they were always trying to bring us more water to charge us (2€ each) for tap water.
I have been in Turin for a week and we have never been treated so badly in any other place, we really do not...
Read moreHomely and tasty food from Puglia but dismal service in a small and modern yet soulless decor in need of some refurbishing too. The orecchiette dishes were good, as were the meatballs and aubergine. Where this place falls is in the service. Two inexperienced waitresses for a busy place is completely insufficient so dishes arrived in the wrong order, cutlery that had been removed wasn't replaced, the wine was served after the starters, the waitress argued when it was pointed out a dish had been burnt and so on. To cap it up their card terminal was mulfunctioning so it was impossible to pay by card. Gets a three star for the food...
