To be honest, I actually don't understand why a lot of comments are like "nice service", "speak good English" and even "handsome stuff"???
As a foreign expat, I went here because of these comments and because of myself being a huge gelato fan. However, the truth was harsh. When I went it, I greeted a guy stuff "buonasera, scusami, english?" with 100% politeness. I basically used up all my vocabulary, and to my surprise, I got a direct "NOOO" response from him, which sounded to me, quite rude đ”âđ«
But I had no choice but to continue, so I tried my very best to find out some other Italian vocabulary to communicate with him, and to my surprise again, he told me "I speak good Italian"... I was in this place two times, on the first time everything was perfect, but the second time I came with my mom and the owner assumed that we were random tourists. We order two smallest ice creams with two flavors as we did last time. As soon as we wanted to pay the owner was like "sorry only cash", the terminal is charging bla-bla-bla. That was very strange cause it's a high end ice cream place and I've paid by card last time, so I've decided to investigate the scam further. Then the owner shamelessly said it's like 9 euro, instead of 7 euro which we paid last time, assuming that we've got a bigger size for 4.5 euro instead of the smallest one for 3.5 euro. I was like ok, let's see if he was going to give me a receipt? Nope, nothing :)
Basically, a very shameful behavior of cheating "naive tourists" and the Italian government. SHAME...
Read moreFirst time in Torino! What an amazing experience. I happen upon CONOGELATO located in the heart of the city and, was fortunate to taste gelato for the very first time in my life. The Conogelato flavors are unique in their variety! Gianduja sala' is a sensation for the taste buds and so refreshing the watermelon granita, not to be missed! I highly recommend that if you have the opportunity, you do not want to miss this experience. Additionally, the owners are personable and attentive which makes the encounter even better. Thank...
