Trattoria da Carlino — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

We had dinner at Trattoria da Carlino two out of the three nights we stayed in Tonfano, and it quickly became a favorite for the whole family. The restaurant is small and always busy, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance.

The food was delicious, with flavorful dishes and great desserts. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent – fast, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it perfect for both families and romantic evenings. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality.

Nice place, along the main street of Tonfano. Starting with an aperitive at Bar Restaurant Margherita, it is nice to have a walk along the street, stopping in shops, with a nice breeze (in the evening, of course). It is possible to eat inside or outside, both are nice solutions. Outside you can keep looking at the people passing nearby and discover that it could be relaxing. Food is good quality. It is possible to eat also seafood and not only other kind of food. In the evening, the pizza is good and fast. Nice people, the courtesy is sufficient. Price is ok: you can not see it, but the distance from the sand is less than 100...

Real good antipasti. Burrata with anchovies. Big portion. Other antipasti dishes around us also looked really delicious. Primi penne con pesto was also very tasty. The secundi was a little less tasty. The mixed grill of seafood contained squid, prawns, shrimps and cuttle fish. Unfortunately one prawn and one shrimp still had the intestinal tract inside. The others were cleaned good. Loved the fact they also had small bottles of wine on the menu (375ml instead of 750ml). Service was really good. Despite of the busy night the waiter and waitress were very kind and attentive. We got offered a digestive after paying the bill. Prices...
